For those of you who own the Sunrider from Bestop, how many keep it on for the entire cool seasons and how many of you use it as a transitional opening top for the bookend months in late Fall and early Spring, switching to the Freedom panels for the January/February coldest months?

I took mine off. I was worried about salt staining it.

This will be my first winter with the Bestop. I plan on keeping it on year round unless this winter goes poorly. The Jeep is garaged so it has less exposure outside.

I want the ability to open it up when the weather cooperates.

We take our Sunrider for hardtop off in the winter.
Live in Ohio, the Freedom panels are warmer.
Why expose it to road salt, brine and cinder ash.
It's only 6 bolts to take off and put back on.
We took ours off last weekend. We'll put it back on in the spring after the spring rains clean the roadway and it warms up.

Yeah Jim, your sentiments are exactly what make me question why I'd be lazy. It's not much to do to exchange the Sunrider for the Freedom Panels, which too can be easily enough be opened should a nice warm day in winter come our way.

I rationalized that the Formula 303 linked above would deal with winter's harshness and that maybe milder winters are truly (or wishful thinking) becoming more common where I live.

Thanks.

Thanks for the 303 link. May have to try that stuff out. It reviews well.
