No odor at all
Is the drain for your exhaust pointing down so it’s draining properly?

You could put a bucket over the tip and start it. See if you can collect the vapor, I’m guessing it’s just water vapor. Feel free to smell and or tongue test the results to be extra sure.

Yeah okay. No need to act like a douche.

Folks...all turbocharged engines are tuned in such a way that the engine must get hot faster than non turbo. What you are seeing is the hot exhaust coming in contact with cool surrounding air. As the engine heats the exhaust temp lowers as the thermostat opens

In cooler temps it is prob. normal. Keep an eye on your radiator reservoir though because if you have a blown/leaky head gasket your reservoir level will drop over time.

It can happen because of-
  • internal coolant leak
  • transmission fluid
  • cracked cylinder head
  • fuel injector
  • broken fuel pumping injection
  • faulty piston
  • oil level
  • water contamination of fuel
If you want to know them in detail, check this blog about white smoke from exhaust.

It happened nearly every start up for me, but not once since the weather has warmed up. Seemed to only happen in either the winter or when it was under 5k miles.

It’s just condensate due to the atmospheric moisture and the differential in temperature between your engine and the outside temp.
