Anyone running 37” tires on factory Rubicon wheels? I’m thinking of a 2.5” lift, 37x12.50R17 Mastercraft Courser MXT tires and factory Rubicon wheels without spacers if possible. I've seen 35s with factory Rubicon wheels, and 37s with aftermarket wheels, but haven't seen 37s with factory wheels.

I'm curious to know about this as well. I had 35s on my 2012 JKU Sahara but I was thinking about going up to 37s on a JL Rubi and I would like to keep the look stock with the wheels that come with the JL. I'm pretty sure the stock wheels won't be wide enough though.

I think the width will be okay, because other members are running 35x12.50R17 on stock wheels. I don't know if the added height from 37s would cause any rubbing or other issues.

I just got my 37's installed today with my mopar lift on my JLUR. I would say get the spacers, I am running factory wheels and ended up going with the 1.75" spidertrax spacers. Looking at it I think you may actually be more likely to rub on the back without a spacer hitting the shock in the rear, also you would be even closer to clipping the grill at full lock under flex. I need to flex mine once the rain slows down to see if I am still in danger of hitting there.

@Penance81 Can you post pictures with your 37s from the side and front view. I’m thinking of doing the same with cooper stt pros.

Ordering Soon: 2018 JLU Rubicon
My boss just put 35x12.50 Nitto Mud Grapplers on his stock 2018 Rubicon. We both did a lot of research before ordering and ordered the 1.75" spacers from Spidertrax just in case, plus he kinda wanted the look of pushing the wheels out further. When the tire shop installed the tires they checked fitment without the spacers and reported that the rear tire was rubbing, they did not specify what it was rubbing on, but said there was no way the 35's would fit on a stock jeep without spacers.

Do you have any picture to provide? I'm curious the stance of how it looks from the back and side.

Thanks

We have 37" tires on our JLUR at ARTEC Industries the wheel is a 20x9 Raceline defender when hitting bumps too fast the tire would rub the inner liners and lower half of the flares which opened up more space . we can fully articulate the suspension to where it sits on bumpstops and the tire has about 1/2" of space all the way around the opening in the rear

Pics as requested. My driveway is a slope if the side picture looks wierd. Camera doesn't pick that up well.
That looks awesome!! What mods do you have to mount the spare tire?

Edit: Oh nevemind, I saw in another thread that you are using the Rough Country rear tire bracket

Installed Rough Country's tire relocation bracket. It will fit a 37" just fine they just advise against it in worry its too much weight for the tailgate. With the changes to the tailgate it seems fine. Eventually I will either reinforce it or go with a whole new assembly but for now daily driving its fine.

Looks great! What are your tire specs? 12.5 inch wide or something else? Are you running any spacers as well? If so, which ones?
