I was going to sit around with the antenna and CB cable waiting for someone else to come up with something for me to copy. But, since it is such a new vehicle, maybe that someone is me. So, here is what I did.
I bought this bracket off of ebay for $12. ProPintle Sales part #271353004388. It is listed for JK/JL but is supposed to mount to the back of your center break light. I wasn't doing that.
With the spare tire still on I marked where I wanted to mount it so that it had clearance. Then I removed the spare and drilled the two holes all the way through so that it would be a solid mount.
Then I put two bolts all the way through with washers on the other side for reinforcement. I couldn't find any lock washers laying around so I just put some Loctite on the bolts.
The tailgate panel comes off very easily. Just pry a flathead screw driver between the plastic and tailgate.
I removed this rubber plug, drilled a hole in the middle so that the wire would go through the middle and then cut the bottom of it from the center down.
I attached the antenna mount and route the cable through the hole.
Replaced the rubber plug around the cable.
Fed the cable through the inside of the door and zip tied to the existing wiring.
Replace the tailgate panel and route the cable on the inside of the cabin to fit your needs/set up.
Plenty of clearance all the way around.
I hope this helps somebody.
