Never heard of this. Do you have a recording of it?Has anyone found a fix to this? I’ve seen a couple of forums about it. But haven’t found a fix.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks!
Have you taken the doors off recently? One time I didn't quite tighten the bolt that holds the piece that prevents the door from opening too far and it made a clicking noise when I went to shut/open the door due to the shifting of everything. Maybe that's the issue?Has anyone found a fix to this? I’ve seen a couple of forums about it. But haven’t found a fix.

Nope haven’t taken the doors off yet (as some have mentioned they encountered this noise after doing so....Have you taken the doors off recently? Huh... maybe try unbolting that part of the door and moving the foot back and forth to see if its that or if its internal. One thing you could just put a little coat of grease on or something and the other might be a little more involved with something loose on the door end...Nope haven’t taken the doors off yet (as some have mentioned the encountered this noise after doing so....
It’s driving me nuts lol now I can’t in hear it
I tried some WD40.....haven’t put grease yet (I’ll give that a try) I loosened the door check bolt in order to try and move it a lil to see if that would help ( maybe I should try fully un hinging it and re bolting?! ) might give that a try.Huh... maybe try unbolting that part of the door and moving the foot back and forth to see if its that or if its internal. lol if I only I lived where it’s nice all year round that would be a fantastic option!i have the solution........ DOORS OFF. no more open and closing there for not clicken noise. .. all jokes aside i sprayed a little lithium grease on both joints on the door holder and it went away. if that doesnt work pull the plastic piece that hides the power plug for the doors and check the bracket for the cloth door stop.. but ill leand towards a little grease will fix it right up

Will do....I have this problem as well and have not found a remedy. Drivers side door. If you figure out the solution, please report back!
Have you figured this out yet? Dealer said @JeepCares is aware of the issue and it's some sort of engineering flaw. Seems like there should be a TSB but since it doesn't affect safety or sales I doubt there will be one. Lithium grease didn't work. I'm going to see if it goes away once the weather warms up. To me it sounded maybe like a weld seam internal to the door flexing thus making the clicking sound. Will do....
I’m on a mission to figure this damn thing out. As it seems many have had this same issue and it’s always the drivers side door. And ones who haven’t reported it I believe is because they haven’t even realized it makes this noise yet ( watch a YouTube yesterday do a video on how to take your doors off...and his was making the same sound, he didn’t point it out tho)
Just find it very strange that it does this and many have resolved it by tightening the door check bolt to putting some grease..to even having it replaced. Only issue is others have done the same thing and yet they still experience the click noise.
Unfortunately I haven’t found a solution....but we did find the cause in another post, a guy took apart the whole door to see that as you mention ones the beam over time comes apart as it is “glued” to the panel of the door. Seems over time of opening and closing seems to separate. I tried everything otherwise the grease the whole 9....nothing works. To be honest (I don’t even think about it much anymore) as only solution with the dealer is to replace the doors and and have new ones painted and put on. And to be honest there’s really no point in that solution as 2020’s are having the same issue occur. So you’re getting a new door yes...but inevitably that door will do that same down the road, as they haven’t corrected/redesigned that flaw.Have you figured this out yet?
