Installed the LOD signature rockrails. Drilled out the two rear-holes, but my right angle drill was too small (3/8 chuck, needed 1/2) for the Front / Passenger “optional” mount point. Will prob mount later. A fun project, some challenges in drilling and tapping the frame, but all good in long run. Prepped and treated the drill holes with POR 15...not sure necessary but seems a good idea.

Projects completed so far..

- corsa exhaust and AFE cold air intake
- CB radio and antenna mount
- Rhino backbone roof-rack
- LOD rockrails

Hope to get a few more things done before years end.

What did I do to my jeep? Drove in a straight line for the first time ever.

When you get your V41 recall in the mail goto the link provided for reimbursement. Jeep covered the cost of my Falcon which was totally unexpected.

This morning I installed my Alien sun shades and took it out for a drive! I installed the running boards about two weeks after I got her. Saved a ton of money doing it myself. Got a scar above my eye where the drill busted my eye open. So ladies (and men) doing your own mods, use an impact instead of a regular drill. It won't jerk sideways. ;)

Where did you got the fenders?
Hi. Purchased them like 4 months ago from rubitrux.com, before I even purchased my Moab. At the time I payed over $900 including shipping. They were primed. As far as I know nobody sales painted ones. Then painting them at a decent shop costed me like over $800.

I painted the wheel weights black and added matte black decals over my chrome Jeep fender badges. The badges were just too bright with everything else black against Bikini and I didn't like the gray balancing weights against the black wheels. Nothing major but I like it much better.

Oil change time! I got a $12 rebate on the oil and the filter was on clearance for 4 bucks. (I bought 13 of them). The Blackstone bottle will have a sample of the old Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20 with 5k miles on it. We'll see how it performed. I expect it to have done very well.)
GEsuAPw.jpg

I picked up a few boxes of Havoline Pro DS 0w20 for a great price at 19 bucks for 6 quarts. Combined with the $4 Mobil 1 oil filter, that will be a bargain oil change. I'm planning on running it in my daughter's Renegade 2.4, but I may give it a go in the JL next spring. We shall see. Anway, I expect Chevron produces very good oil. For those who prefer it, this Havoline is MS6395 certified, too.

Got it done, I’m officially on a rock krawler 3.5 inch X factor lift. It wasn’t to bad, thanked my buddy again, using a lift is sooooo much easier. Dogs name is Duke, he’s shop foreman....:)

The ride on the road is phenomenal, I thought the Mopar road nice, but this is even better. I’m still waiting on the rear correction pads, so I’m leaning to passenger side about 3/4”. And I still have to re route my e brake lines, before I wheel it. And I’m still hitting my exhaust with track bar when it flexes, so I’ll probably end up moving the rear axle a little bit.

But all in all, for the preliminary review, I’m very satisfied. I gained only 1/2” in height which means my Mopar 2” lift finally settled in right at 3” after 6 months.

I was hoping that I wouldn’t get any more height out of the lift, I mainly did this to get more down travel while wheeling.

Nice rig. Question, how would rear correction pads fix the passenger leaning?

Same here, they covered my Fox ATS as well. Key is to have an invoice PRIOR to the recall notice.

I get now why you guys were complaining about that one PITA screw. I was determined to switch mine for the clear ones this evening so I went outside and started pulling things apart, with the instructional videos by my side. Well, Diode Dynamics didn’t include the extra one-time-use pop rivots they say in their video they do, so I thought I would be able to make it happen without removing that one. All was going well and I was getting ready to pull the final few screws out, but then hubs came out to “help” me and wound up taking over. We realized later that pulling most of the bracket screws out was totally unnecessary and the only one that REALLY mattered was the one that’s damn near impossible to get to. Anyhow, in trying to get the new side marker screwed back in, my dearest husband also wound up breaking the round clip on the marker light bracket. I think it’s because he kept trying to jam the ratchet in place to reach the bolt since it’s in such an inconvenient spot. Oh well. Everything still went back together just fine but it got too dark to do the other side so that will happen tomorrow morning. I do love the way it looks for a (relatively) simple mod!

Sucks weird bc mine came with the extra rivet and I never used them thankfully , what made a difference for me after a big learning curve on the first side was the plastic trim tool set I bought and not removing the entire light housing like it says , I was able to rig up an extension tool to undo that one bolt in the corner which made a huge difference and saved me an hour on the other side but was a huge PITA install that’s for sure and I also didn’t take off the entire inside plastic trim only about half of it ...

Oh yea and did some installs today too ... 1941 side step protectors interior , got a free set of carbon fiber mirror covers (on the fence about them) and rigged up my homemade hardtop hoist!! ...

Installed one artec inner fender.. just one and I'm about to pass out. Second one should be easier..
Apparently they sent me the female version, because mine came with no nuts!

Did you powder coat these? Considering picking up a set assuming I offload my falcons due to that pretty hole I had to cut open in my stock fenders.

I think the higher passenger rear RK pads are to compensate for the gas tank and use the same spring as driver side. As opposed to having 2 different rears, since RK does a bit less volume than let’s say jeep.

Yesir, that’s the way I understand it to be.
