Removable & fits over folded rear seats. Using the Xprite Sleeping Pad.... will finish painting and adding black carpet to it tomorrow.

Edit: Finished the project. New photos added
Curious what you hang from the back of the driver and passenger seats with the orange cord?

Thanks for the additional info requested @WildBlue . I can see, true to the adage that "life is a series of tradeoffs," that by making your design lower in height and closer to the cargo floor than mine, you also gained a few inches in the bed portion's length by interfacing with the back of the front seats at a lower place, where they are closer to the front of the rig, than where those same seats are, higher up, and interface with my design: due to the nature of back angle in vehicle seats.

I wanted to be able to store more gear below the bed height, especially in the cargo area, outside the view of prying eyes.
Glad it made things clearer. And yes... A total compromise regarding storage space vs sleeping length. Best to you on your adventures!

The Orange Cord (still looking for some good Rubi Red Cord, Ha).. is what holds up the front of the sleeping platform. The cord loops hook around the lower seat tabs. There are no "legs" supporting the front of the platform. Just the loops...

Wait what heck are those 2 cargo compartments on the back of your seats? Does my jeep have that?

No compartments. Just the Standard Rubicon cloth seats. There are Molle bag attachments on them and in the photos the actual bags are not in place. Just the attachments. Everything else is standard.

@WildBlue this is slick, you wound't happen to have measurements or a write up would you? Specifically wondering what you did for the two front pieces.

I picked up a deep sleep and it is amazing. Highly recommend some sort of insulation between you and the mattress as the air inside it chills quick since the tail gate has the vent.

I second this. I tried for years to use various sleep pads in the back of my Jeep. The Jeep deep sleep is awesome, takes care of the gap problems and fits around the console. Really happy with it. https://www.deepsleep4jeeps.com/
