What dealer do you guys recommend in MD? I'm over near the Key Bridge.
I work at DARCARS CDJR of Rockville. We're the number one Jeep dealer in the state right now

Got mine at Criswell in Gaithersburg for about 10 percent below MSRP and put new (actually used rubi) wheels on. Love it. They were super nice at Criswell. Think it was January 21 and I have about 1600 miles on it and off to upper PA to look at colleges on Monday with my son. No regrets!

Richmond here. First pic is pre powder coat.
Where'd you get yours powder coated and how much? Was there an option to keep the red Jeep on the wheels?

Detective Coating just south of Richmond. They are a tuner/show car shop but they will do wheels and do a great job. Small outfit, run by a guy named Justin. No BS, just quality work.

I paid for 5 wheels and their drop off service, where you can leave the vehicle and they take the wheels off, do their thing, then put it all back together again. You can do it either way. Cost was $450 for the wheels and $225 for the full service. $675 total - Jeep was with them for 3 days.

I did lose the red Jeep but I bet you could talk to them about it. They do a lot of technical work on calipers and engine pieces and keep details like that. Might be possible.

Good luck! I was super happy to find a shop that would take the whole car, and they did a great job.

One additional thing - they can't do the lug nuts, so either bring/buy black ones or get ready to Plasti-dip them (which i did, on the vehicle, and it was a headache)

This isn't event the full amount of tape used, had to tear strips and lodge them in all around each lug nut so only the chrome was exposed.

Neighbors love me. Nothing like rattle canning a $50k Rubicon.

If anyone’s interested I have 5 Rubicon rims and tires for sale with about 500 miles on them. Tires alone retail for about $250 without tax.

These are BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2’s
Tire size is 285x70x17

Local pickup only. Can meet anywhere in Fairfax/Loudoun County.

$1,500 for all 5! PM me if interested.

@steelerpsugirl & @MBurgJL I've been doing some digging and there's not a lot of public info. I've found that the 4x4 clubs that post runs are a good way to learn just by lurking around a bit.

The best as far as details is CORE 4x4;
Here's their page - http://core4x4.org/
And here's some good detail on Flagpole Knob, a run I'd like to do soon: http://core4x4.org/flagpole-knob/
Here's the rest of the runs they've posted: http://core4x4.org/trail-reports/

NOVA Jeepers also has info, though you have to dig a bit more: https://novajeepers.net/

Yet another is Black Goat Off Road - https://www.blackgoatoffroad.com/

The tricky part about the clubs is they often use trail names, which don't show in google - I've found that cross referencing the USDA fire service maps helps clear things up a bit sometimes. https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/gwj/maps-pubs/?cid=fsbdev3_000547

I wish there was better info but that's the reality of getting out there - you need to do it to know it.

Well, until someone writes a book like the one I had in California: https://www.ebay.com/i/222830142560?chn=ps&fl=a

If anyone is interested in trying Flagpole Knob in the coming months let me know. I'm down.
