Ok cool, thanks. I'm trying to decide between 275/70R18 and 285/65R18 on stock Sahara wheels and no lift. I've read 285/70/18 might work as well but I haven't seen any pics of that yet. Seen pics of the first two sizes on stock Sahara.
I just installed LT285/75R18 (35.1”) Duratracs on stock wheels without a lift and it fits just fine. Still have enough clearance and no rubbing at all. I had 285/65R18 before this and 285/75R18 are significantly larger. 285/65R18 was pretty much the same height as stock tires just wider. I will eventually get a 2.5” lift kit installed.

It looks good! So no rubbing yet? I’ve got the other stock 18” wheels. I’m debating on buying new wheels or just upsizing the tires. I had the duratrac on a pickup beforehand and loved them. They had a 50,000 mile warranty. I don’t believe the BFGs or NITTO’s have mile warranties.

No rubbing at all yet and the only problem I’m facing is tmps warnings which will go away if I recalibrate my speedometer and change tmps threshold settings but I don’t want to spend over $300 on tazer now. I’m running them at 32psi and the drive is very smooth.

Love the look. I see they weigh 60lbs each. Do you notice a major difference in handling over the stock tires?
Not a very noticeable difference. I’m running them at 32psi and the driver is very smooth. I think there would be a big difference if you go with 35x12.5R18 because it is a lot wider than 285/75R18.

I have 275/70R18 but I have Rubicon suspension swap. So no, completely stock wouldn’t work.

looks awesome! Anyone running 285/70/R18 on stock Sahara wheel? I am thinking going just slightly smaller diameter (~1”) but same width as yours. I can’t find pics on stock 18 wheels anywhere.

Yes, like I mentioned earlier, I have rubicon suspension. 285/70R18 does not seem like a popular size in terms of availability or price. You will have better luck with 295/70R18 or 285/75R18

Are the BFG KO2's good on wet pavement and snow? This is my wife's jeep and she's complaining that they slip on wet pavement and are slippery in the snow. I'm looking to a little larger, BFG KO2's in size 275/70 R18. Stock is Bridgestone Dueller A/T 255/70 R18. The 275/70 BFG's seem to only come in an E load rating so also wondering how comfortable these are.

Anyone feel the KO2's are better on wet pavement and the snow than stock?
Thx for help.

Here are the tirerack consumer ratings for the two.

Honestly, if she is saying the stock AT are no good in snow, I would highly recommend some dedicated winter tires as they will be the best solution even compare to the KO2s.

Interested to hear if you ended up running into any issues besides tpms warning with the 285/75R18..? I'm looking at those exact same tires with stock setup.

Thanks!

i’m very surprised by these ratings as I’ve driven in wet and or icy conditions in both and honestly the stock a/t felt better/safer especially on the highway. I like the KO2’s overall but don’t feel they channel the water or ice as well. Don’t get me wrong I haven’t gone back from the KO2’s yet however...

No issues at all when I had stock wheels. I recently got new wheels with new tmps and the warning light came on for two tires but it went away after 2-3 days.
