Sorry the update is this:

FINALLY!!! Good news guys... Im told by my Star rep today that a TSB has been released today addressing this very issue. I only have the TSB number right now which is 08-009-19REV. A. Hopefully this is the end of this. I’ll report back after I know more. Of course, if you find the actual pdf of this TSB please post it here.
Can @JeepCares comment on this?

Hi DarJeep and cmarchel,
Unfortunately, the TSB you are referring to is for the 2019 Ram 1500. We will continue to monitor this concern and will let you know as soon as we have more information.

Mine cuts out, when I make a right turn, in my neighborhood, almost every time. Also, usually it happens when turning sharp corners. This leads me to believe there is a short in the steering wheel somewhere. My clock also resets to 12 pm, at times, when this happens. Jeep thing??

Though not the same problem from this string.... sounds like you have a ground loose or fuses loose. JLs have a problem with fuses not being seated correctly. I would recommend taking the fuse block cover off and making sure all the fuses are pressed down. If that doesn't solve it, take it to the dealer, there is most likely a ground cable loose.

I only have audio on the passenger side of my JLU. There is no audio on the left side, no matter the source. It has cut out in the past but never permanently. Not sure where to even look. I already checked fuses (even though I firmly believe that fuse issues wouldn't cause this type of issue).

Well, enough is enough. I just talked with my dealer and with FCA Wave, after over two months of a STAR case being open, working with Wave, JeepCares, and a few others, there still is not a fix available for the issue and no estimated time when a fix will be ready. It is arbitration time. enough is enough.

My audio cut in and out this morning for the first time, 7 months in with 2200 miles (8.4 screen). It was the radio, sat, carplay, even the nav directions all were cutting out every 5 seconds.
My back up screen was blue also?!
I'm glad I had a short drive to work.

It has nothing to do with the mountains, weather or remote start. I'm in a city location with 70 degrees.
I got to work and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I turned it back on and everything is working normally now.
I guess that's good but now I'm weary of it happening again.

My JLU is currently at the dealership for this issue. STAR case has been created and they are trying to consistently duplicate it. Not expecting anything positive to come out of this though. :(

Alright, I just picked up my JL from the dealership. Apparently, there was a radio update that addresses this issue. Here is what the tech wrote in my service record,

"NEEDS RADIO SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR IRATIC AM/FM VOLUME CONTROL. PERFORM TSB 08 012 18 UPDATE RADIO SOFTWARE FROM 181002 TO 182808, LO 186002WTC CLEAR ALL CODES AND RETEST NOW RADIO FUNCTIONS AS DESINED TEST DRIVE OK NOW"

Other than the bad spelling (typical tech notes), I'm happy that there appears to be a TSB on the fluctuating volume issue.

Hopefully this info helps others get their radios fixed. Cheers!

Can anyone else say whether emdub's solution works?

Just my .02 on this issue. '18 JLU 4dr with 5000 miles. Last night for about the 4rth time the intermittent audio happened. This time it was very obvious to me as I had the doors off and music up loud. (just enjoying a Jeep on a nice New England night). I changed all bands AM/FM/Sat with the same results.

This morning I stopped at the local dealer service desk and asked about the issue. Person at the counter (don't know his title, could have been a janitor) had no idea what I was talking about, never heard of the problem ! He gave me a tel # for UConnect. 877-855-8400

I went back out to the Jeep called the # and was on hold for 15 minutes. When I connected with a ' person ' , he didn't seem to know of the issue at all (very hard to believe) but told me to press 2 buttons simultaneously on the steering wheel with the vehicle on and the doors closed to reset the radio. I said 2 of the doors were off, and he didn't understand what I was telling him. I said it's Jeep, the doors come off !!!

After reading 30 pages of comments, this seems to be a first being referred to UConnect. !!!

Then he asked me if it fixed the problem. WTF !

I again told him the problem was intermittent, I couldn't tell. Call him back if its not fixed.

That was the solution from UConnect...........add it to the long list of useless solutions

UPDATE - I just got of the phone with my dealer, and the SM said that they are aware of the issue, could do a hard update to the software on the UConnect system, and then replace the radio if all else fails, but no guarantees that would work . No thanks. I will wait for a permanent guaranteed fix.

Adding to the thread - encounter the same issue (8.4 in screen).. Blue screen on backup camera, audio cuts in and out (regardless of being on SXM, bluetooth, USB). I find if I shut the car down for a bit and re-start, auto corrects itself - but UNSAT for a 3 month old car.

Has happened about 2-3 times now in the last month.

Anxious to hear if this radio update solves the issue.

Can't blame poor weather - I live in San Diego

I just had this issue (blue backup and radio cutting in and out) which happened the first time I took the doors off on Saturday. 2019 JKUR 8.4". I had similar issue on day 2 of ownership in March. They replaced the backup camera that time. I found a temp fix by placing into Drive before reverse. Then I had it in the dealership today Wednesday and they could not replicate it. Said no software updates for radio, but one for the cluster panel. "they talk to each other so this should fix it."

Tonight went out and put into Drive to pull out and it immediately starting cutting out the radio no matter how i switched the channel or between FM and Satellite. (dang i didn't try AM). When I got home I video taped and sure enough I put into reverse and it was a blue screen. I turned off and restarted the vehicle and same issue replicated.
