@LUV2JEEP And some of us (not me ;)) thought you were nuts for having 2 winches. :CWL::like:
I really didn't plan to use it. Just leftover from RZR days. Glad I brought it. It's going to stay in my recovery bag for now on! If I need more than 4500lbs I can use a snatch block and hook to one of the bumpers D rings.

Took Jeep out on its first offroad excursion. 300 miles of trail riding in Arkansas over the weekend. It poured rain Sunday to the point I couldn't get to my camp site. Had to stay in town at hotel and wait it out. Of course I'm sick today so I couldn't make it to office.....cough cough....

Tested Jeep out to 34 degree pitch. I might have wet my pants on that one. Drove to a fire lookout tower. I wanted to see what it looked like up top, but didn't have the nerves for it so I improvised and took my drone. Got pictures from all angles! Do any of you see something odd hanging from left side of top of tower?? Yes that's my drone. Let's just say it was a fun weekend but it had its moments to. I then experimented with 36" deep river crossing. Again my pants got wet. We'll just say from from the river water. I then continued down numerous trails only to be blocked by down trees from the constant rain. Luckily I brought a chainsaw this time. Then when I decided to go on one last trail....well we all know it's the last trail that bites. I saw another mud puddle and thought nothing of it until boom both tires fell into liquid and center of axle hit solid dirt. I guess that's why there's an alternate path avoiding this mud hole. I wanted to winch forward but that would only push my steering components into the hard soil. Plus I'm not sure I want to continue in that direction. More rain was coming in just a few minutes and I'm miles from civilization. Ughhhhhh........

Oh wait! I have my spare reciever winch I showed earlier in this thread. Plugged it to reciever, ran high amp cable to my battery quick connect and it worked. Ahhhhh......

It's only a 4500 lb. Winch but it did the job.

Let's just say it was a weekend I'll never forget and my first one with this Jeep that I have 300 hrs invested in.

Went camping at Kalaloch Beach Campground, and explored a logging road across the hwy from the campground.

Found a decent place to setup camp - hedge protected the site from the ocean wind. Saturday morning was COLD (40 degrees) and everything was wet.

View of the ocean from near the campsite. Saturday was a gorgeous day, once it warmed up.

Road was washed out between the root ball and the log across the road.

Beautiful view from the road.

Yes, there had been some logging done somewhat recently - don't know when.

For now, until I get the proper gear, this will be the type of camping I stick with. When I get the bumpers and winch, I have plans to go do more rugged camping. Some day, roof rack and roof top tent.
Looks like an epic trip!
I'm looking forward to having adventures like this.

My son and I drove 1800 miles round trip to attend the “Healing Waters” Fly Fishing event open to all Military Veterans. Missouri offered Free Trout Fishing for all veterans. It was a great opportunity to share time and space with all my military brothers and sisters. The Navy Veteran next to me caught the biggest trout I have ever seen in my life. It was a true treat. Whether you are military or civilian....trout fishing at one of these MO state parks is a treat. If you are a Veteran; Healing Waters is sponsoring another trout fishing event on June 1...either at Meramec state park or at Montauk state park, Missouri. This program is MEANINGFUL to all veterans......especially to those suffered physical or mental injuries. If you are a Veteran then you understand the comradere that you can give a Vet is priceless....and being able to pair that companionship with some fishing is VALUABLE therapy. Just being there....Veterans like to talk.....and talk a lot...and this is good therapy for everyone....and it’s life changing for some.
Good man you are

I'm not going higher than that. Maybe I'll keep 30 as my limit.

Last 2 pics are same spot during winter. Tried to go up it in Polaris and couldn't. It was dry then. Jeep did it wet.
