Don’t ask, don’t tell. The average dealer knows so little about what they sell that all they’ll see is a stock wheel that looks like 20 others on their lot.Wondering if anyone has spoken to their dealer about warranty implications from switching to the Rubicon wheels and tires. I know the difference in size is minimal but not sure about the offset. Saw some other threads on here about possible warranty denial issues of going to larger tires. Those threads seemed to focus on switching from 33s to 35s or 37s not going from 32s to 33s, but interested to see if anyone is concerned about it.
I thought all the OEM rims had a +44 offset, should not be a problem. I know the Rubi rims are +44, I would check but I just sold my sahara rims yesterday, pretty sure the offset is the same though. Only thing I would be concerned about is getting a tazer or something to change the tire size so the shift points and speedo are correct. My speedo is only 1mph off but the shift points are what concern me, my tazer is on its way though.Wondering if anyone has spoken to their dealer about warranty implications from switching to the Rubicon wheels and tires. Talked to the dealer service department today. They said that this wasn’t a big enough mod to impact the warranty. Asked them how much to update the speedometer. They said $154 which included labor.I thought all the OEM rims had a +44 offset, should not be a problem. You could always have your dealer to the install, then you know your hands are clean.
How did you go about blacking out the Sahara emblem?Picked up a set yesterday and did some before and after with a digital sound meter. From 40, 50 and 60 there was no significant change in noise to note between them and the stock 5 spoke sahara AT tires. Tried the interstate to get a 70 and 80mph test but just too much traffic noise to get a good read. Also not much of a weight difference, probably within 5lbs. Had a shitty bathroom scale so it was hard to get a accurate weight.
Sahara rims were okay, but they started to look a bit puny to me.

They should. The bolt pattern is the same and to my knowledge they are not as large as the 2018 Rubi wheels which fit fine on a Sahara or Sport for that matter.Anyone know if the stock 2014 JK Rubicon wheels would fit on a 2018 JL Sahara?
Its just good ol' plasti dip.How did you go about blacking out the Sahara emblem?
And this is actually how they get you on the warranty. When they “order” the flash it flags your vehicle in their system. If you have an issue related to the modification you made they know about it. Better off dealing with the 1mph difference at 60mph IMO.Talked to the dealer service department today. They said that this wasn’t a big enough mod to impact the warranty.
