So, after months of research and planning and about four days of immense sweating and a little bleeding in the Florida heat, our vision for our rig is starting to take shape. The wife and I have self installed everything so far, we still have a lot of wish list left but so far i think it's looking pretty good.

Currently installed:
  • Metalcloak 3.5 Gamechanger lift with Rocksport Shocks
  • Yukon 4.88 Ring and Pinion front and rear
  • ARB RD245 rear locker
  • ARB RD100 front locker
  • 17x9 Method 105 beadlocks
  • 37x12.50R17 Milestar Patagonia M/T
  • NFab RKR rock rails with drip steps (probably coming off soon)
  • Smittybilt XRC front bumper
  • Smittybilt X2O Gen2 10k winch with synthetic rope
  • Factor 55 Flatlink Expert
  • Bartact front and rear seat covers.
  • ARB dual 12v air compressor
Future plans:
  • Metalcloak Undercloak or Rock Hard Belly Pan Skids
  • Better rock sliders (in my opinion the nfab variety relies on pinch seam too much for support which scares me a little)
  • Metalcloak or JCR Fenders
  • JCR molle panel for tailgate (on order)
  • KC Gravity Pro6 lights (2 driving and 2 spot)
  • Some sort of rock lights (leaning towards KC Cyclones)
  • Smittybilt XRC Rear Bumper
  • Some sort of moly shafts front and rear, haven't looked into this too much yet so I dont know what's out there for the JL yet.
  • Dynatrac ProRock 44 front Axle (maybe, once the 30 gives up)
Many thanks to @chevymitchell for the detailed gear swap explanation. While not exactly what I was doing much of the process was the same.

So far, the build is great. No ruckus coming from either gear set and the jeep rides like a dream. My wife even mentioned that at times she forgets it has been lifted until she goes to get out and almost falls...

Now we just need to complete a few shakedown runs before Sheriff's Jeepfest labor day weekend.

Holy Moses! Very nice.
Wanderer is the name I've been looking at for my Jeep. Only in part because of the steering. Ha!

Lol. After lift installation before alignment I thought the same thing. Steering was very loose at first and the jeep wandered all over the road. Alignment cured that though.

That first picture may be the most badass picture I've ever seen on this site.

Nice build. I’ll like the blue rings with the red. Nice lift in the work shop as well.
