Dropped off my boys at summer camp this morning... finally got a chance to test out my new EAG doors. Love em. My boys did too. They were laughing and giggling despite the 59 degree weather LOL. I told them, “that’s the Jeep life baby!!!” :)

No rattles, no clanks... I had them nice and tight. The mirrors work good too. I hated saying goodbye to my DoubleTake RAM mirror setup... but... at least for now.

Nice! My boys have learned to bring a hoodie with them to keep warm.

Ordered doors on Wednesday and received them last night. Put them on last night only took a hour and a half. They went on pretty easy. Had to adjust the latch several times. All four doors are pretty tight with very little play. I have to pull on them to get them to move and rattle. I haven't had a chance to road test them.
Looks great! Advice - I was like you, thinking that if it was “pretty” tight, that it would be good. I was wrong. In order for there not to be any rattle, it has to be pretty much snug after closing. The best way to test this without doing a test drive - use your fist and lightly tap on the bottom part of the door below the latch. If you hear a rattle or clank, that will sound worse than that while on the road.

One more thing - your doors do NOT have the EAG logo cut out on the front door. Mine does. As do some others. I’m guessing one of ours is newer and one is older. Which is which??????

Well that's just my luck. Went to go buy these today, and the product page says "In stock, ships today", but also says "Not available" and no button to add to my cart :crying:

I don’t mind not having EAG. On the doors. However.....can’t get drivers door any tighter and it has a rattle. Also, the door nut to secure the door hinge will not thread onto the tube doors.

For anyone with the non-netting version, do you think it would be possible to add a piece of plastic/lexan on the inside to make a solid half-door? I think the flag doors with a white backing would look awesome on my white JL 2dr.

A picture of the inside would be appreciated. If not, I like the storage bag version but concerned about wind noise/damage at highway speeds. Can't have too much storage on the 2dr though...

Sorry - took me a while to respond. I felt that way too about finding the right latch adjustment. But just keep playing with it, and you’ll find the right combo. Try loosening one screw and keeping the other tight and moving the mechanism around.

As for the oem bolt screw not threading into the EAG hinge, make sure you start the threading while the door or hinge is off of the Jeep. In other words, making sure it threads already so that way when you install it, it’s already much easier

Whats wrong with the gap, it is not very big, whereas most of the competing more expensive doors have may go to the bottom but nothing in the middle to contain you, pets or stuff.
I agree. I like the intentional gap. More open air feel too :)

I didn't like the gap either in pictures but overlooked it because of the price. Now that I have them on I don't even notice the gap and actually like the look.

Went to my local hardware distributor, and bought all the bolts in black. Needed to replace all the stupid chrome bolts. Easier than painting. This whole pack was $8 bucks :). Better than paying over a buck each at Home Depot or Lowe’s. F that.

Huge difference imo. No stupid chrome.
