I googled for this and this popped up for the JL...

https://www.quadratec.com/p/rampage...ej1M6KBFnEyXVg7qF4IoDun3otO7TMf74YaAozS8P8HAQ

Did you get one yet?
Personally, I would rather wait for the Mopar or the Bolt lock. I don't like that it's a separate key or that both latches lock.

The same part I tried to order is listed on quadratec as pre-order (https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/hood-lock-kit-jeep-wrangler-jl-82215137) with a claimed ship date of June 18th. But, if you read this thread: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...37-hood-lock-kit-for-18-19-wrangler-jl.30904/
That date has been pushed back a few times.

I interpret your statement as Mopar parts will be compatible with my car key? Which would be really nice!!! Does that mean it's configurable ONLY to my car key or any Jeep Wrangler JL car key? Just curious, how would they make it unique to my car key (if that's possible). Thank you.

The lock can be keyed to your unique JL. Only your own key will open it. Just like the Mopar Locking Gas Cap.

It's unreal how long it's taking Mopar and Bolt to get to market? I might just forget about the Mopar and Bolt at this point.

Live in a big city and did not want the new JL vulnerable. I bought locking hood latches a few months back to use temporarily until the Mopar or Bolt hood locks are available. I bought the Rampage version of these locking hood latches. They are really well built. My only issue is they have a different key.

I tried to find a review of some kind of review (or even pictures) of this part, but could not find anything.

I took a risk, and I just ordered it from allmoparparts.com. I'm hoping that it will key to my fob key like my gas cap did.

Will update with pictures after install.

Edit: missed a couple of words.
which one did you order for your gas cap? and you get to use the key attached to the fob?

thank you!

Quadratec has an exhaustive video on how to key the locking gas cap to your key. Presumably the hood lock will be the same

Start at quadratec.com or google.com. I'm just not awake enough yet to do the other kids' homework, sorry
