Regardless of driving practices or habits, flying rocks will happen. This glass is shit...period. I've had so many other vehicles that have been fine with rock hits or even chips and the integrity of that glass was good until the day i got rid of that vehicle....with the rock chips still in them, unrepaired. I'm not arguing or counter-pointing anyone on here.....i'm giving my opinion, which seems to line up with 100s of other opinions/experiences. I dont know much about the glass chosen for these vehicles, but it sucks. FCA honestly should do something about it AND backpay for lost damages at this point.
I've had wranglers in the past that came with better glass and sustained chips......this one just seems to be brittle.
I replaced my 1st one on day 7 of ownership and that sucks, BUT these guys that have had to replace 4 or multiple, i feel bad for...that's called a design error, unless it's a highly coincidental/bad choice every time it happens.
