I've installed a few bumpers in the past. This bumper was by far the easiest. It took maybe three hours after I got the stock bumper off. That included installing and wiring the winch. I'm always worried when I order something big and overweight.
It arrived in perfect condition. Great packaging! I have some KC LED fogs picked out to finish it up.

@EagleJL That's a great looking bumper. Is it as heavy duty as it looks? That winch plate looks like it came off a tank!

I've been very impressed by the Motor City Aftermarket build quality. I have the M1 rear bumper and absolutely love it! Quite possibly the strongest part of the jeep!

I swear to God the clevis tabs are welded in pics 3 and 4 but not in #5

WTH?
I believe there a "skin" that covers the bumper hiding the welds in pic 5

That's correct. The winch mount has the shackle mounts and the bumper shell goes over the whole thing.

It's no doubt built like a tank. Lifetime structural warranty and 5 year coating warranty.

Yep, it's a two piece design which made it super easy to install.. Winch plate and outer cover. The hoop and light mount is separate. Motor City's site says they also make parts for tanks so their bumpers have tank DNA in them.

Now we can literally say our jeeps are built like a tank! ;)

Jeff, that's a great write up. Thank you for that!

Do you have any updated pictures with the KC's?

Exactly! The tabs are welded directly to the winch plate. The "shell" goes over the plate then protects and provides the finished look.

You nailed it. The idea is that you can replace the shell if/when you take a couple rocks or trees to the bumper. OR you can change bumper style when we come out with new versions of the stubby.

Switching the shell would take at most 30-40 mins, tops.

We have our "T2" ready to go. I'll have "shell only" pricing in the next week or so.

I liked better. I should have some time this weekend to install them and I'll post some pictures.

Anyone with the M1 rear bumper running 37's ?
I'm curious to know if the sensor provisions work. They seem a tad high up on the bumper. Was wondering if a larger tire would cause the sensors to trigger.
Thanks
