My cold turned into a sinus infection, and the meds for that are not agreeable for a trail ride...hope you had fun, catch you next time.

Did it on our own. Crown King has changed a lot over the past few months with the weather. Going with the lift this time was nice as well. Catch you guys next time.

How was it with your lift compared to without? I heard it was a lot more washed out now, would a stock rubicon still be able to make it?

A stock Rubicon can do it however there would be one or two obstacles in particular that would for sure scrape the skids underneath. The trail is more technical now due to the weather for sure. To be honest, there is one rock formation that made be open the check book and get the lift in the first place. It was on this trail.

We still scraped the skids today on that rock but it wasn't nearly as much as when we were stock.

What lift and size tires did you end up with? I am looking at a 2" lift with 35" tires for when my replacement comes in. Then will do all the same skids I have on this one.

We installed the Mopar 2" lift in the garage with the thought of keeping it under warranty. We are running 37's with no rubbing.

@Atom44wat Are there still bypasses for the tougher areas you mentioned. I really want to do this trip some day, and really don't have any desire to try and tackle an obstacle just to do it. I just want to go to see a part of the state I've never seen.

Although it changes quite a bit with rain, you can definitely do it with a stock Rubicon. There is one place where the 4 doors have problems even with a lift, but there is easy bypass.

That was us, sorry we didn't wait longer but I wasn't sure anyone else was coming. I kept checking this thread and saw nothing posted except cancellations. hope you had a good time though.

I agree with what has already been said. However the bypasses are only for the early parts of the trail. Once you get near the Prescott national Forest and hit the riverbed it's all or nothing. The toughest obstacles are on this path assuming you bypass the earlier stuff as we typically do.

We did it stock and lifted with only one rock formation scraping the factory skids. No way around that.

We hit the trails for the scenery also. I don't need to prove myself to anyone.

Today we ran New River Trail / Table Mesa / FR41 to cave creek road through seven springs into carefree to have dinner at El-Encanto. For anyone who has not made that run I highly recommend it. There is a little of everything, including some pretty tough side trails. Also lots of water to explore if you have your kids with you.

that looks like a good time, we have been wanting to do a mine / ghost town run for a while now, but they are more remote than the other areas we have been hitting so holding off until we can get a few others to go for saftey reasons. how would you rate the trip you took? looks like you ran it alone, fairly easy trails?
