Come on, it’s not that bad. To be fair we don’t go anywhere when it’s like that either, but it’s fun to watch everyone else trying to move :CWL::CWL:
20 below is just another day. Get up. Go to work. Complain about the weather.

So I’m in Toronto for work, and not staying at one of my preferred hotels. I’m here for my second night. Here’s the current run down.

Toilet was running when I checked in. Asked them to fix it. They didn’t. It ran all night.

Of the 4 elevators, 2.5 of them were broken. I was hear with a big group, so that meant 15 minute waits to go up. 1.5 elevators have now been fixed.

There was a fire alarm at 6:15 this morning. Most other people went down. I decided it was likely a malfunction, given everything else, and had my shower instead. (Apparently there was smoke in the stairwell, so I probably should check these things before deciding everything is fine)

Now it’s 72 degrees and my a/c isn’t working.

I’m ready to go home.

Not as fun as jeep parts, but close. Mountain bike parts showed up today!

I have a hard-tail bike that I bought for 350 a couple years ago... now it's almost a completely different bike. I call it my rat bike. The only thing left original is the frame, stem and wheels. The front forks cost more than the original bike. It's a lot lighter than my SO's TREK that she paid $1200 for. (Probably the same reason why I bought a JLU Sport... planning on major upgrades... a step at a time).

I have 9 more alimony payments to go (ruffly 30K)... then it becomes willy-nilly money.

That blows. I don’t mind work trips or hotels, but a shitty room zaps all your energy. Try not to let it ruin your attitude.

Being a marine... it always puts things into perspective... if it's not a muddy fox hole that I had to spend the last 1.5-2 hours digging myself... BONUS!

I remember staying at a few places in Germany or the UK with cockroaches and thinking -- this is cool (at least the bed still wasn't warm).

(((RA))). Sounds terrible. I hope it improves. I’d be claustrophobic. Last time we stayed in Minneapolis I didn’t relax til we were 2 hours north of the cities. Parking ramp and hotel elevators and lots of people and no space. Jrex would not have cleared the ramp. Pos Ford barely did.

Booked our next concert tickets in Fargo rather than Minneapolis/st Paul. Lots more space out there!
