Mine fit with very little rubbing on the bumper. Got a Rough Country Tire Riser to fix it. I would consider a third brake light relocation so you can remove the third brake light arm and see out of your rear window.

Mine did not. I have Milestar Patigonia M/Ts and had to get a relocation bracket. Fitment is going to be heavily dependent on your wheels rear space/offset.

Huh?

I have the Milestar Patagonia M/T 35's (315/70/17) and they fit perfectly all around on stock Rubicon wheels. No relocation bracket needed for me.

I have Milestars as well and it looks like I could fit 37s I have so much room. I did extend my bump stops. My rims are +12 offset.

I've got 34's (technically 33.8") on stock Rubi rims and I can't imagine anything larger fitting without a relocation bracket. The tire just barely grazes the bumper when I close the hatch.

My 35x12.5 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZs fit just fine. I adjusted the tire carrier up as previously mentioned.

Interesting. I wonder if the steel bumper has a bit more clearance than the plastic one.

I've seen in other threads that airing down the spare can help if you need just a little extra space to avoid rubbing. If you have a blowout and need the spare, even if it's not full that'd probably be the least of your short-term worries.

That's not a bad idea. Especially if you carry a compressor with you.

Something like this:

On my 2018, my 35 rested comfortably on the back bumper. The 18 was replaced with a 19, and I have about 3 or 4mm clearance now. Same spare tire and rim. So it would seem there's some variance from jeep to jeep

I could not make it work with the 35”BFG KM3 mounted on Mopar 17” Gladiator rims and the factory steel rubicon bumper. I went with the Smittybilt spare riser. It has the least amount of setback and has more then enough clearance
Very easy install and looks like it would allow a 37” tire, I don’t know if I would trust the factory carrier for that much weight

This is very confusing.

This is a JL forum, so we should (for the most part) all have the same stuff. I have a 2019 2-door Rubicon with the stock plastic bumpers.

Here are a few pics of my rear tire clearance:

There's plenty of room. It's not rubbing, or really even close. I don't think I could fit a 37" tire in there but this thread is about 35's and mine fit easily..

Any idea why it would fit for some but not others???
