Any one know if it is necessary to remove the soft panel / insulation that is stuck to the inside of the roof in order to install the Maximus-3?
I installed the rack and later cut my headliners to go around the brackets. Using a razor blade it wasn't too difficult. I believe my rough measurements were 8cm from the outside of each headliner. I then cut out to 7.5cm from the outside for room of the actual bracket. I didn't see any instructions with the kit so I just figured it out.

Measuring many times and a pencil to mark on the back side of the headliner is your friend.

Hi Maximus 3 guys,

Just wondering if there is anyway to get one of these sent to Australia? Im after the long version with ladder and possibly full rail or at least front rail..

We are still waiting for our very first JLU Rubicons to arrive in this country and im on the first shipment hopefully due in June/July. Id love to be able to order this before the car arrives as obviously no one in Australia is stocking JL aftermarket gear yet.

Cheers from the Australian market haha.

Did you try to use some shipping forwarder?
It's around $350 US to ship the roof rack to Australia (platform, brackets, ladder - all together approx 98lbs)
https://www.myus.com/signup/?aid=1005127&ReferId=undefined

Since Rhino Rack is from Australia, you can consider buying brackets only and get the platform elsewhere.

Oh i didnt realize they were using a standard Rhino rack with custom brackets.. This does make it easier..

I would love to see if i can get just the brackets and ladder if possible.

Kinda what I had in mind, but was just curious if anyone had done it previously who knew for certain how it all worked out. I appreciate the answer, thank you sir.
I ordered Hot Headz headliners and had to modify them to allow the brackets to meet the inside of the hardtop.

How did you modify them ?
Can you also attach a photo of how it looks when finished ?

For those of you that relocated the sat antenna, did you find it kinda tight up against the freedom panel? I barely could pull down the front latch for freedom panel.

Did your engineers ever take a look at adding support for a high lift jack mount to the rear brackets?
Most likely Maximus-3 will not be adding a high-lift jack mount into the roof rack brackets. But some customers have made this happen by stacking a jack-mount on top of our roof rack brackets with a longer bolts.

Yes. I had to grind down the top of screw head as it was keeping the freedom panel lifted.

I got it. I loosened bracket, slide it all the way towards passenger side and it fit.

I never had an issue, i would say there is about an inch of clearance between the antenna and the inside of the roof, and aplenty of room to the left of the lever to release the freedom panel.

Look again in the manual - there should be no clearance issue whatsoever. It's tricky to read the photo in the instruction at first.
