Haven't most cars been doing away with them over the last few years?

The quality of components, lubricants and seals have become much better over the years making "lifetime" joints more feasible in automobiles.

That said, non-greasable joints don't make a lot of sense in vehicles designed for off road use where sand, grit, mud and water gets into everything causing extra wear and tear.

As you slowly upgrade, you'll find most aftermarket joints have zerk fittings or some other way to be able to service them.

Take the Steer Smarts components for example, they are bigger and stronger than the stock components and come with greaseable joints.
