I have a rattle coming from the driver side door and the dash. I have 13000 miles on my 2018 JL and it seems to be getting worse. I am not sure how much longer I will put up with it. Thanks for all the tips on this thread.
Hello gschones,

If you end up going into the dealer for an inspection, let us know. We're available via direct message and would be happy to help with that process.

I had a loose visor bracket, fixed that. I also had the wires sticking out from under the seal for the windshield, fixed that. Still have the rattle. I hear no noise/buzzing from the speaker, but will try to cardboard trick to rule that out.

I hope this will fix the noise I've been trying to track down, only hear it on certain music notes.
I have the "certain music note" vibration as well on my JLUR. Were you able to resolve the issue?

I have an echo coming from the steering columns. I typically hear it when it's just people speaking on the radio. Deeper voices make the echo worse. Anyone else experience this?

What you are looking for is this:

Just behind your speaker is this wire group and that piece of cardboard with foam is what I wedged between the speaker and the box. This box has been identified in other threads to be the culprit of our buzzing woes.

Just wedge something in there that will not wiggle out and has a bit of cloth or foam that will absorb the vibration.

Let me know if this solves your troubles.

Hey man. Thanks for this. I got a panel off, playing something acoustic that always buzzed and putting pressure on this spot with my finger immediately stopped it. Now I just gotta get all the way in there to tape something like foam to it.

Yes, this just started. 12k on the OD. And it seems to be coming fm the driver's side as well. Can isolate the buzzing by moving the sound slider around on the GUI. It appears to stop at highway speeds so am wondering if it is the cable under the windshield.

Before anyone attacks me, yes, I know it's a Jeep. I know it will develop MANY rattles over time, especially after being off-road.

With that out of the way, the damn thing is brand spanking new and this particular rattle is maddening. It seems to be coming from somewhere near the A/C vent by the driver's door. It's not the speaker, because it happens when the radio is off. It's not the OBDII programming wires, either, as mine are plugged into a Tazer JL bypass, wrapped in foam, and tightly velcro'd behind my kick plate. (I redid the foam and velcro just to be certain.)

It only happens at 45+ MPH, and I can obviously only hear it with the top up and radio off or on a talk station.

Anyone else have this particular rattle? Anyone know how to diagnose the cause?
I had the same thing going on with my 2018 JLU Sport S and it drove me nuts. I took it to the dealer and even after having a tech and GM take a ride with me to hear what I was hearing they also couldnā€™t figure it out where the rattle noise was coming from, but weā€™re convinced that it was from the drivers side dash/ instrument cluster area. Fast forward to weeks after that, I needed to flip down my windshield visor due to sun glare and wouldnā€™t you know it... the rattle sound STOPPED! I then flipped it back up, and the rattle sound returned. I flipped it back down and it stopped. So now, when it rattles, I just flip it down. Sound simple crazy, but give it a shot. I also saw a thread on this exact issue a while back after I figured it out and with the same conclusion. I think some folks resorted to installing round felt pads on their visors. Hope it helps.

Nice find, but you shouldn't have to do that. I did lower the windshield for my issue. Interesting the amount of debris that collects in that area. IF Jeep ever investigates the noisy windshield am betting this is there the problem will be found as it seems to me, no aero guy, that a lot of air can get in this space, then is forced to the sides of the vehicle, then possibly up the side channels of the windshield where it escapes, hence why we hear it in the upper corners of the jeep. Need a wind tunnel and some smoke to prove this.

Have flipped my visor up and down many times, also unclipped and clipped it. Moved my remotes around too. Vibe continues.

I am having the same issue with a rattle in the drivers side dash on my 2018 JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara that is extremely annoying. I am also having a squeaking sound that is coming from the back window or back door that I have had checked out 4 or 5 times by the dealership. Still have the squeak. This issue has not been resolved and they just try to put tape on the top of the back door every time I take my Jeep to the dealership. Finally I keep getting the blue screen on the back up camera about once a month and when that happens my radio starts cutting in and out. I have to turn the ignition off and leave the Jeep off for about 30 minutes and that fixes the issue with the radio and backup camera.
