These jeeps with 38s or 40s are just kick ass. I love the look.
With 40s I would think you'd have to change the axles people are going to break axles that's a lot of extra weight

Are those tires too wide to go through a carwash or they still fit ?car wash by my house is very safe does not damage the vehicle at all any vehicles but I've been through their hand wash daze the pain 45 and $50 to hand wash my duallys and I had 40s 1550s on my powerstroke and I'm not going through that again I don't have time to wash it myself way too busy.especially in the wintertime it's nice to just drive through the carwash I got $14 a month unlimited washe. I can run it through any many times I want a month

Purchased 12/28. I am still waiting on a few items to be delivered; DV8 RBJL-02 rear bumper/tire carrier, Baja Design lights (2- LP6 & 6 - LP9). I am leaning toward replacing the flares with the MC Overlands which came out right after I ordered the DV8s.

Build sheet (these are the important items);
5.13 gears
Flashcal
3.5" Rock Krawler (powder coated red springs)
2.0 Fox shocks & steering stabilizer
Cooper DISCOVERER STT PRO 40X13.50R17LT
17x9 Fuel D633 Zephyr Matte Black (powder coated red beadlock)
DV8 - FS-15 HAMMER FORGED FRONT BUMPER
Smittybilt X2O Waterproof Synthetic Rope Winch - 10000 lb.
DV8 - slim fender flares w/LED signals
DV8 - front & rear inner fenders (front - powder coated)

Fits through my local touchless gas station car wash just fine still and they are 13.5” wide.

No......The Rubicon comes with DANA 44s which are pretty tough. I know these will hold up very well for how I drive. For example, I had a 1985 Toyota 4x4 w/40" Dick Cepek Fun Country's and those axles looked like spaghetti they were so small. I put it through hell with no issues. My guess is these jeep axles are much, much better. If needed, I would upgrade to some DANA 60 axles.

Got the 3.5" Metalcloak Game Changer Rocksport lift installed with the Patagonia 38's. Drives great and still fits in the garage. Now on to the next project!

Loookin good. Be careful with your front bumper if you wheel it like that.

I will thanks. I have a new Teraflex lift in the garage that I'll get to next weekend I hope and then a new set of bumpers.
