600 miles and no issues....getting 22.5 mpg so far vert pleased with its performance ....test drive the 3.0 then 2.0 and was sold
I did the same thing. The 3.6 is still a great engine and paired with the new 8 speed auto its so much better then the jk setup.

I love the punch the turbo gives. Even if it's not much faster, it still feels like it is. I can't wait for a blow off valve to give it more turbo noises. Also with a simple throttle controller it is even better.

I'm very happy with my 2.0T, no issues, fun and responsive, mid to high 20s mpg with 91 non ethanol, 89 (ethanol) when non ethanol not available. 1700 miles.
Question ; will the non ethanol fuel keep valves cleaner ? What treatments to keep DI deposits from building up ?

Direct Injection, the intake side of the valves never see fuel. That is where the build up starts from, the PCV valve allowing oily air in. A catch can will help. There is thread here on catch cans.
I have Ford F-150 Ecoboost and I drilled a small drain hole in the intercooler so some of the oil is diverted. The 2.0L Turbo doesn't have a intercooler so that is a mute point here.

I see catch cans will be available for the 2.0 T soon, and will invest in one. Thanks

Performance wise, how do the two compare?

Wel Iā€™ve had my JLUR since Oct. 2018 and have about 13k miles on her. This past Tuesday I took her in for a check engine light message with Throttle Control, Airbag, and Stability control freaking out. I drove to the dealership and had no power. I realized afterwards I prolly shouldnā€™t have been driving it. So anyways sheā€™s been at the dealer since then...they told me Thursday theu need to replace the throttle control...and I will be out for another 5 business days. Has anyone had similar issues???

I've read posts where dash lights went Bonkers, and people checked their fuses, relays, grounds in the Power Distribution Box, by the battery, and they were not seated properly, or loose.
I checked mine, and Lo, they all needed to be properly seated. Not saying this is your issue, as they have diagnosed it, but I would ask everyone to check this...

Seems like I recall reading that in addition to the fuses, bad batteries have caused similar issues.

I had similar issues that you describe with my 2019 JL 2.0. They diagnosed it as failed vacuum hoses. They replaced those, but the problems continued although they were intermittent. I would go 20 miles without any issue and then somewhere between 20-50 miles the problems would return. They eventually opened up a star case with Jeep and found that two ground bolts were loose. I'm about 250 miles in and the problems seem to be resolved.

Posted this in the Issues section but could also go here since it is a 2.0....

I started it on my way to work this morning and got the dreaded CEL (check engine light). Seemed to drive ok (possibly a little sluggish from a stop). Got an appt tomorrow morning. I had noticed that after the particularly nasty blizzard we had a 3-4 months back (the cyclone thing?), I got a lot of snow inside the engine and some snow water in the air filter. Ever since that day, every time I cold start it, the engine will hiccup/sputter and run rough for 5-8 seconds or so and then runs very smooth. Has done that ever since, every time I cold start it (haven't actually checked if it does it after being warm). However, the actual drive has been smooth and flawless. First CEL though. This is the only issue I have had with it after 3,500 miles.

180 miles, CEL popped up on mine. 207 miles, on a startup the engine revved up to 4k and just hung out there until I turned it off, giving me the error "service electronic throttle control". Happened a few times after, CEL intermittently turning on and off. 500 miles and its back at the dealership. Not exactly what I thought a $45k car would behave like.
Any luck with finding out the problem? We had this same error code come up around 3k miles. Turned the car off for 20 minutes and it went away when we turned it back on. We took it to the dealership but they didnā€™t find anything wrong. Itā€™s been about a month and has not come back on. Thanks!
