Went to Walmart, was ready to turn away from the parking lot and a car backs into the side of my Jeep. She then comes out frustrated so I shout back “aren’t you paying effing attention?” She then proceeds to say some racist Trump crap. I double check my Jeep and no damage is done to my Jeep. Her bumper is indented and scratched up as she clearly hit my GoRhino D6 dominator steps (props to GoRhino and these steps!).

A minute or two goes by, while I’m on the phone “calling the cops”, tension has released a bit so I tell her, if you want to go ahead and apologize to me, all this can just go away. She then apologizes for what she said, we shake hands and truck along.

It’s funny how people get when upset, frustrated and cling to the very first thing that comes to mind when I’m a high stressful confrontation. But as you can see, things can still end peacefully.. we’ll, she’ll have to explain to her husband why she wasn’t paying attention as she backed out... and apparently he’s Mexican so that was even more hilarious to me.

I don’t want to hear how off-roading is more dangerous than mall crawling again.

I also have the GoRhino D-6 with the drop steps I pity the fool that opens their door to far and hits them. I am definitely safe from door dings

While my wife and I were eating at a restaurant today, I foolishly left the top down, and a cloudburst soaked the interior. I decided to mall crawl up into the vacant side of the strip mall to have a little shelter while we dried her out with a towel and lots of restaurant napkins, haha.

I know I know I’ve been saying this over and over again, but... gasp.. here goes: The JL has been out for 1.5 years and they still act like it’s the first time they’ve done an oil change..
It’s not the first time, they’re just doing them ALL wrong.

Hubby has a friend who had a convertible Porsche that the wife left the top town and it downpoured. I’m surprised they’re still married.

@chevymitchell and I met up with roughly 47 other Jeepers at Uwharrie today - organized by Hendrick Dodge Jeep.

We met some amazing people (including a TJ that destroyed his rear diff) and had a great time.

I managed to get a video of the TJ going down the toughest part of Dutch John that we faced. We ended up having to turn around and Shawn towed him all the way back.

I didn’t get to go anywhere but I did spend most of the day with the JL. Finally top off for the beautiful weather we’re having. Assembled the Toplift Pro and put it to use. Works great!!! I can still back in or pull in while the top is stored. Put the Dirty Dog netting and trail doors on too.
Heading to the beach tomorrow!!!

Almost a year after the 420 mile round trip to buy my jeep, I drove a 380 mile round trip for a good deal on a premium soft top. It was a long drive, but now my smart charging is working again.

What did I do with my Jeep today? Well...it was a lessons learned kind of day. I got high centered in a patch of snow. Clear road before the patch and after it. Got through a third of it before I got stuck. The road I guess dips right where we got stuck then comes back up a few feet ahead. Couldn’t get ahold of anyone so highway patrol had to come and help dig me out. Lesson learned, snow sucks. I need some way to get myself out and add shovels to my Jeep. A lift and bigger tires might be helpful in the future, and snow sucks. But I take full responsibility for my driving and getting stuck.
