When bolting on my protection rings to my Borah wheels, do I add anti-seize, loctite, or nothing?
If you never want to replace your tires ever again use lock tite...

You want to be able to remove these?

Lol, yes but I wasn’t planning on red loctite.

Hi Troy. I'm about to install the Metalcloak game changer 2.5 lift kit. They mentioned that an ideal backspace for the wheels is less than 4.5" so things don't rub. The Borah wheels for JL model has a backspace of 5.72".

Did you end up running spacers to push the wheel out more and create more clearance?

thanks

Peter

If you have a Rubicon with its wider axles and 35” tires then you will be fine. Not sure about any bigger tires though. I have zero rubbing with JL bora wheels with the 2.5 metalcloak lift. No spacers.

How do you like
Those Pro Comp AT’s? Any good on wet roads?
Actually REALLY like them. ProComp has really made a comeback from yrs past. These are perfect for a daily driver /occasional trail rig. Very pleased in snow and rain and quiet on the highway. Still kicking around getting them in 37’s.

Anyone know where I can get some black hardware for the protection rings? I don't like the silver bolts look for fake beadlocks, but would like to run rock rings for protections.

Wheels, tires and rings on along with the tereflex carrier. Tires are a little off balance, will need to go back and get fixed otherwise getting there. Happy with how the wheels came out.

Are these the JL or JK version of the Borah?
