My first tough Jeep mod and first real mod ever outside of audio upgrades

This beast was a pain!

Decided to do the winch install as well just havent hooked the lines up or spooled the rope.

I could have done the install myself if it werent for the mountings bolt plate that is only secured by those plastic square pieces to hold it in place until you put the nut on.

Tried meself but kept knocking the bolts out so had the neighbor hold it up as i guided each one in.

Next weekend....rear bumper!

Very nice! My OCD has gotten the best of me, your fog lights are mounted upside down.

What do you do for skid plate with that front bumper? I don't see any on their website. Thanks, looks great!
I haven't done anything for a skid plate yet, I was contemplating trying to make something myself, just haven't. The bumper does come down low enough that may not even need anything, except the 2 vertical mounts the plastic air dam were bolted to kind of stick below the bumper like 1", maybe less so I'll want to do something.

where did u get the license plate bracket?
The license plate bracket was a 2 piece, both from amazon.

Ah crap, didnt even notice

Does it matter? Does the light go a different angle or anything? I don't ever want to take that bumper off

Looks good! I think the black grill & lights should have been what we got instead of the silver.
Perhaps they should have made the grills and lights should have been black from the get go, and Jeep knows that. Obviously they're trying to entice you into buying the more expensive Rubicon.

Teraflex Alpha 3rd brake light had to go in upside down. Not terrible but not the look I want. It will work for now till I make a bracket for the plate.

Yes, it matters. If you ever turn them on while driving, it will likely blind oncoming traffic (that’s how I understand it).

First oil change at 3103 miles yesterday afternoon! Full synthetic and triple checked they were going with 5 quarts not 6! Yeah I could have gone a lot longer on that initial factory synthetic oil, but figured there would have been additional engine break-in contaminants I wanted to get rid of. Just peace of mind really!

Added some cross bars for a roof basket for the upcoming trip to Acadia National Park, the basket will only be on for trips as it will not fit in the garage installed.

Any word on the whistling? Do yours or have the rails been improved? I’ve been on the fence about them.
