Hi. I have a 2019 Rubicon with plastic bumper. I purchased a used factory steel bumper from a forum member and wondered about a few parts I think I am missing. I have the bumper, the two stubby ends, the skid guard and brackets. I wondered about plastic trim panels that would sit above bumper to fill gap between bumper and grill. Pictures and part numbers would be appreciated. I don't have a winch. It just looks sort of empty in that area. My plastic bumper had a filler piece of trim that was in that area. I don't think it is the same for the steel bumper. Thanks

There is a Closeout Panel Part # 6BU43RXFAB

You can to Maximus 3 and they sell some filler plates for the back of the bumper as well others depending on your configuration

I don't think its that heavy by itself.. when you add a winch then yes 1/2" - 3/4" is normal .. I lost 3/4" just added spacers to make up[ the difference

Good Deal, if you get a winch with a steel cable, that adds almost 70lbs by itself

Thanks for the input - so is there a trim plate? No part number shown?
Is the closeout panel used on the steel bumper?

The part is the same between the two bumpers, why not reuse the one from your plastic bumper? Why not just install a winch?

So the plastic piece from my old plastic bumper is the same? That is good news. It looked too skinny for the job. As far as the winch- - - - - $$$ is not what I have right now.

You'll also need to add (4) rivnuts for the skid plate mounting bracket (steel uses different locations than plastic). Use caution when installing as I managed to destroy more than 1 rivnut during installation (and they are a pain to get out).

Trail Recon did a great video of swapping the bumpers... definitely recommend watching it!

Hi again. So the plastic close out panel for the plastic bumper is same as steel? I put it on but it sure looks weird. There are holes where it used to attach to the plastic bumper not used by steel? Is this correct?

It is not the same closure panel. You will need to get the steel closure panel for the steel bumper. The part number for the steel closure panel is 6BU43RXFAB
