Man, I'm almost at work before I get to my first ESS shutdown, and even then its just a stop sign and I might not let it autostop if there's no traffic. Engine is usually not at temp for the first 3 stop signs and then I'm on the interstate...

Is it weird if you verbalize when you’re alone? Asking for a friend.
Friend - You drive a Jeep! Weird is irrelevant!

Plus... you have to use different 'voices' for the instruction and the "check".***

***voices in your head not applicable

Well, at the end of it all, I'm sitting in my JL about to hit the road. How could it not be worth it? ;)

....when you start your Jeep??

1 - Engine start
2 - Parking lights on
3 - heated steering wheel
4 - heated seat
5 - ESS off
6 - cruise control on
7 - adjust climate
8 - turn CB to scan and adjust sql
9 - plug in phone
10 - (at night) lower dash lights

You?
I'll bet the reason is a solid one beyond my "pay grade," but why doesn't cruise control "on/off" remember "state" between startups? This appears to be the case across many vehicles.

Please in no way confuse this question with cruise control engaged.
