Thanks for sharing this. Love to see some additional photos from different angles that provide greater view of this. I think that the high line fenders on the Rubicon make the gap far greater and feel less of a long term solution. However, on the Sport / Sahara - the combination of wheel offset seems like it can work as a transition.

I bought my wheels knowing that I would go up. I widened the stance to compensate for that change in center. However, the JL mopar rides taller then the JK 2”mopar. My intent is to go taller eventually on tire... but am hopeful to get more life from my 33’s. Your build and JK47 provide a more clear view then the same application on a Rubicon.

Can you share more photos?
I just had 35s installed yesterday. If you put a Mopar lift on, you need 35s. Lesson learned the hard way. Selling my 33s... Funny though, rides noticeably better, in all aspects. Not as jarring on bumpy paved roads and potholes/manholes. Real nice.

Yea, clearly feels like a better fit from a proportions point of view. It looks terrific and basically the end result I’d like. My curiosity has always been about weather the 33’s would work with non high line fenders as a transition to break up the costs.

I’m curious to understand more about how it improved your ride? I’m guessing you went with the 315’s to get in a Cply tire? Or did you go 35x12.5 in and Eply? The later is bothe heavier + a stiffer sidewall.

Looks good. Agree with you. You definitely need minimum of 35s with the Mopar lift. Anything less just doesn't look proportional. Well done!

Ill throw this out there. If you just want to improve the look by filling them wheel wells up some more how about no lift and 33’s? I’ve had bad experiences and expenses messing with vehicle suspensions and for my JL and how I use it, I don’t think I’m gonna lift it.
I ended up buying a rubicon take off suspension and rubicon wheels. It’s a lift for me

33s will 100% work without highline fenders. The JL has a lot of room there and the 33s aren't a huge difference from stock. Use tirecalculator.com to enter the stock vs 33 (or whatever) and it shows you clear and exact dimensions and comparisons. It's a nice tool.
As for the 315s, mine are E rated. It's just the size I grabbed from Jeep sites as the largest 35" listed and went to NTB to have them install them. They don't carry the cheaper C rated.
For the ride quality, it's funny. In stock form the Jeep rode crazy comfortable. Seriously, almost plush and like many regular family SUVs. Then I got the lift and 33s. The ride got more 'Jeep like' for sure, bumpy and jostling over street bumps and holes. FF to the 35s, now the bumps are soaked up much more and are barely noticed. And it handles so much better with the 2 more inches of width. I wheeled moderately hard in soft, thawing earth on the high tension lines and it fared extremely well. Real floaty and my confidence was higher. I did pussy out 2x though, just too reluctant to go thru about 10" deep puddles, but the ground was so soft as I crept up

, I was scared. Better safe than stuck!! Bumper/winch combo is on the list.

Anyone re-gear for the 35s, I'm finding my 6 speed a bit tall.

I am a noob too. Your Rubi wheels are 7.5-inches wide. A 35-inch tire (or a 315) typically has a minimum rim spec of 8-inches or even 8.5 inches. I have seen one 35x11-inch tire that is reportedly in spec for a 7.5-inch rim. It’s a Nitto mud tire as I recall.

That said, people DO mount 35s on the factory rims. Many shops won’t mount them though as this config is normally ‘out of spec’.........

Here’s what a RE 2.5 lift (shocks, springs, control arm, sway bar extensions) looks like on 275/70/18 M/T’s. Still getting just under factory mpg and the ride is better than before the lift.
