Just received my Maximus-3 long rack system! Didn't think of looking for a forum discount... Can't wait to install although I will be dealing with the Mopar headliners.

For the install I've read posts here and see the bracket to relocate the satellite antenna for best reception. Is there a similar concern for the cellular/LTE antenna? @Maximus-3

UPDATE ON LOSING SATELLITE RECEPTION WITH ANTENNA RELOCATION:
As I have previously mentioned, after relocating the satellite antenna I would lose signal when heading east. I also have the HotHeads liners. Trying to fix this I moved the antenna more to the center of the removable top and the reception got WORSE! I then remembered I also installed the noise deadening strips from HotHeads and these have a foil cover. Sure enough, I put the antenna back to the Maximus-3 location and removed the sound deadening material/foil from about 6 inches from the antenna and reception is good now.

We have NOT found the need to relocate the Cellular/LTE antenna. So far zero reported issues with that one.

Just to be specific, it it not the headliners themselves but the additional Sound Assassin strips you can buy from HotHeads. There are no issues with just the headliners.

Hi @voodoo11, thanks for the question. Basically the Maximus-3 mounting bracket system marries the rack to the sport-bar (through the hardtop) In order to remove the hardtop you have to unbolt the brackets from each other or remove the bolts that go through the hardtop. Hope this pictures helps clear things up. Otherwise please give us a call and we will talk you through it. 248-821-6654

Has anyone installed the @Maximus-3 rack with a @JTopsUSA sunshade? Will this combo work without taking rack brackets completely off?

Finally installed my system! Only took 3 months of it sitting in my house looking all dejected..(and the assistance of 3 others).

Installation took longer than expected because...drinks..but I'm glad that the brackets come designed to adjust to a good degree (I'm not confident all my measurements were perfect, take your time!).

With all that said, just ordered my roof top tent and it's a coming. @Maximus-3 , earlier in the thread you mentioned a specific roof top tent mounting solution utilizing lag bolts that drop into the platform. Is this lag-bolt kit for sale directly from you? I haven't found it in your online store.

Good question, we have not tried this combo... so we can not say for certain.
I assume it would be best to take our brackets completely off when running a JTopsUSA sunshade. Otherwise our Maximus-3 roof rack brackets may make contact with the sunshade. The potential contact could lead to damage of the sunshade.

The Lag-Bolt RTT mounting option hasn't made it to our website yet...because drinks, kidding.
For the time being you'd need to call 248-821-6654 to order the Lag-Bolt system. I will try to have it loaded soon, for now you can check out this install guide. Cheers!
