We have all bought stuff for our jeep but if you could see in hindsight what was good and what was crap that you bought, what would you have done difference as far as purchasing accessories?

8. ARB Dual Air Compressor - $550 + Mountain Off Road Mount - $100 = $600
9. Synergy Wheel Spacers 1.75" - $160
10. 67 Designs and Ram Mount Dash Mounts - $200ish?
11. Artec Dual A-Pillar light mount - $100 + 2 Sets of Rigid D Series Lights ($400) = $500 total

Over the years I think of all the money I spent on Jeeps and women - and the rest I just wasted!

Spent about $4k on setting up for flat towing, another $1k on web doors, CB, door hangers, grab handles, jack

~$4k on tires, bumper, lift, compressor, dominion hi-lift mount, numerous accessories...

Will likely spend another $2.5-3k this spring on XPEL front end coverage, Sunrider top (plz go back on sale!), and Bartact rear seat covers (for the kids).

At least gas prices are cheap for right now...

What's your opinion of the Hauk Snorkel?
Hey,

It's pretty low profile looking for those that don't know about snorkels (I'm in New York City) so it doesn't attract attention. For those of us that love snorkels, it's pretty awesome looking.

Performance: I'd say when I got in I noticed an immediate bump in power. I'm not sure if it added power necessarily but it definitely increased throttle response. Also, I'm not sure if it's in my head but the exhaust sounds a bit louder.

I've also got the 18" extension for it. So when I actually go offroad you can remove the snorkel from the current position, add the extension, and you're ready to go through some deep s**t.

Thanks!

Through pretty thorough research, I havent wasted any $$$. If at some point something gets removed/no longer used, then its only a partial waste...

Did you install it? I've only heard of one other person with it and they complained that it fit like $hit and they actually bought a different one. They said the top of the hood was basically crushing the pipe.

Hey,

Yep! I installed myself. I'd say I'm an "intermediate" mechanic. I can do all bolt ons, basic wiring etc and it went fine.

You can view my work on Instagram Petey003. I posted quite a few pics and vids along the way.

I also have a build thread step by step on here.

The one piece that was a bitch (until I figured it out) was the piece that goes in by the cowl. It fits in awkward unless you completely remove the plastic cowl piece.

I agree, but I did waste a little waiting for a proper lift. I installed a 1.5" lift and replaced it with a 3.5" 6mo later 2 door support is so far behind

Dirty dog sunshades. Crappy fitment. Should have gone with alien. They sag more than an 80 year olds rack.
