Thank you for posting the update, as I am also interested in this lower cost option and hope a brave soul will order it and report back the findings.
Yeah, I’m looking forward to their table and the cargo slide for my fridge and other supplies.

How is this going? I like that items can still be mounted to the grid.
Actually, they are probably ready up at our manufacturer....the weather has been so brutal, I have been too busy pushing snow to get up there.

Tomorrow?

What are the specs on the bolts and spacers? I have the same table waiting install
Here are the spacers, washers, and bolts I bought.
I made a template with the box it was shipped in.
Used a laser to line up top two holes, then used the template to get bottom two holes drilled.
If you do this table on your JL, just remember that you need to have the table low enough when it is folded down for the wood to be able to pull out under tailgate handle, yet high enough so that when you fold up the table and close the tailgate, it won’t interfere with seal or carpet.

I finally got some time and a warm spot in the shop to experiment with the new riser and matching some pouches that will work well in combination.

It looks like a large pouch (either our First Aid Pouch or Large STAT pouch) and a Medium STAT pouch work perfectly.

I Have 10 of the risers built and almost ready to go....should have them on the website by Monday.

Front Runner JK tailgate table installed. 1/2" nylon spacers and a few washers used as spacers. The supplied bolts work for the top holes. M6x1.00x40mm for the bottom right bolt, and I'm guessing a M6x1.00x60mm bolt for the bottom center hole. My local hardware store only carried up to 50mm length and it doesn't quite reach the threads after putting the plastic tailgate panel back on.

So we went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Springtail solutions table. I installed Friday and really feel like this is a good product. I was a little skeptical on the Mopar branded one, which is one reason why I gave this one a shot. This table feel sturdy, solid and I really like the clips they used to prevent the rattling on the highway. I’ll probably do a wooden insert to eliminate the lip that curls up, which I’m not a huge fan of. But out of the box, this thing is fantastic.

Oh and the YouTube video for assembly made things pretty easy, it would be hard to screw this installation up.

Awesome.

Hey, you will want to turn the Velcro backing over and weave those straps through. Otherwise it will pull off when you go yo yank the bag off.

I've wondered if that thing would rattle back there on the bumpy roads.

I'll tell you the secret to tracking down creaks, rattles and vibration noises....

Have the wife/significant other/partner drive while you sit in the cargo area. This is virtually the only way that you will track down those noises.

Rattles drive me crazy....this is why we work so hard to make sure our products don't make noise while even in the roughest terrain.

I have the Mopar table. It rattled due to the right latch being loose. Wrapped several rounds of electrical tape around the latch bar and now it closes tight - no rattle.

For those of you that had the desire to use a camp stove with the Springtail table but found that the front lip interfered with setting the stove up....we are working on an answer for that request and knocked out a prototype insert that can serve as a riser for a stove, a flat prep area and still allow items to be mounted to the MOLLE grid.

Actually, the initial prototype turned out pretty nice....fits well and bolts up easily.Should be plenty of room underneath for MOLLE straps or hardware to mount stuff on the outside grid. I think that this makes it the only table that you can mount things on the outside at the same time without one interfering with the other.

Sorry for the crappy pictures but it is minus 4 degrees outside and 35 mph winds. I'll get better pictures and some real life testing done soon.

Let me know your thoughts.

Why make the riser only half the size?
