Getting better gas mileage is a game. If you keep your MPG gauge displayed, you will see where your mileage drops. I am also getting around 14-15, but I have 37’s and I like to drive it. If you really want better gas mileage, yes 91 octane will help, but you definitely have to work at it.
2.0 or 3.6? I love driving the 2.0. The turbo is fun!

You’ll see that kind of percentage drop in most vehicles if you druve hard. I get about 19 in my 2008 JKUX if I take it easy, and low to mid teens if I don’t. In college I had a 1991 Tercel that did around 40 if I babied it and and high 20’s if I didn’t. Add the bad aerodynamics and it’s like driving a parachute. It takes a lot of gas to force this brick past 60. And depending on how you drive, a turbo can be worse on gas, not better.

This is my 5th Jeep(first Wrangler). I certainly didn’t buy it for the fuel economy ha but I was hoping the 2.0 would fare better than a 3.6 no matter how I drove it.
You were duped. The 2.0 is only going to fare better than the 3.6 if you drive it like a grandma. It has a turbo, they use gas.

I've gotten in the habit of using my cruise because I know I have a lead foot. It makes a big difference for me, but I'm also in Ohio where there isn't much change in elevation. I have the 3.6 tho.
If you have a lead foot how do you fit it into your Jimmy Choos?

I have a 2018 JLUR, 2.0 with stock suspension and tires, steel bumpers, and winch(just added less than 100 miles ago)

After 1300 miles, ~600 highway the rest city, I’m averaging 13.4 MPG! (calculated by the Jeep) One of the main reasons I chose the 2.0 was for the fuel economy but this seems like a 3.6L average. No, I didn’t expect the stickered 22-24 but I did expect it to be in the high teens and maybe over 20 on the highway.

What are you averaging? Thanks!
For realistic gas mileage results you have to fuel up write mileage then check again when you refuel. I found the onboard results to be much different by about 5 miles per gallon better when done by actual fill up and mileage used prior to fill up.

I live in Utah and have a mixed commute between city driving, mountainous highways, and 80mph freeway and still average between 22-25mpg. I run 91 octane and have just over 1,600 miles.

Estimated gas mileage is at "highway" speed which is 55mph, not Interstate speed 65>
