So I have the '18 Sport S JL, i believe stock wheels are 17x7.5 inches and they came with 245/75r17 tires. I want to get wider and bigger tires. What is the biggest tire i can put on a completely stock jeep (no spacers or lifts or offsets) on the stock rim (17x7.5). Ideally i'd love 295/70r17 but ive heard that creates rubbing. Im not doing any hardcore off roading, a liittle mudding and fun but really nothing crazy, mostly daily driving. Would 285/70r17 be better and fit the stock rim?

I went with the 275/70r17 BFGoodrich K02's and love them on the stock 17x7.5 rims.

I’m curious how the KO2’s compare to the stock all seasons in regard to road noise? Do you notice much differences in the ride? Are your KO2’s a C or E load rating? I’m looking to put new tires on mine this week and looking at KO2’s or Ridge grapplers. Thinking I’ll go 285/70’s.

These are a 285/70-17 AT on stock wheels.

They are quiet, do not seem to have affected performance much, they are nearly a perfect fit, but they have reduced gas mileage about 10%. They should be original equipment on the Sport.

Are those Toyo’s? You’re right, should be the stock tire.

They are not Toyos, but they are similar. They are a Les Schwab exclusive tire and I think they are replacing the AT Toyo the Schwab has sold for years. Time will tell if they work.

Can you shoot us an update on the E-rated 275's? How are they riding so far? Thinking about getting some and can't find much info for this size. I appreciate your help!

285/75/17 as long as you use the stock wheels.

Can you post a link to the D KO2's in that size? I can't find them anywhere for sale!

Yea, they don't offer the 275/70r17 in a D only an E, but I do appreciate that list it'll help me in my search. If you were picking between a 255/75r17 vs a 285/70r17 what would you go with?

I have a sport and I’m looking to find 285s... either takeoffs from a local Rubi or keep the black stock rims and buy new KO2s or KO3s. I have run the all terrains on a YJ and TJ. Both drove great with little road noise.

I’m tempted to do the Mopar lift and combine with 35s but messing with the stock suspension is a tough call.

265 70 17 gets you wider and you can get ko2 in a C load range. Its pretty much same diameter, thats probably what I am going to go to do, Not crazy about bigger tires with sport gearing

I think I’m going to go with the same tire. The lighter weight of the C load range will make a big difference. This Jeep is my DD and will only see dirt once in a while so I really do not need a big tire.
