Does anyone know if these two wires are for the ACC? I'm pretty anal about the interior and was surprised to see them sort of just sticking out of the a-pillar near the top corner of the ACC module.

Finally got to try mine this weekend. Works really well. I had this in an Infiniti QX a few years ago and the slow-down and then speed-up was a bit jerky. I find this new Jeep version to be much smoother. Now if we could just get people to maintain their speed :swear:

Hmmmm... I haven't noticed those wires in mine. It looks like that angle is from the drivers side of the ACC, correct?
I'll take a look when I get back to my jeep after work today.

Yes, they come in from the driver side and attach to the windshield, almost like rear defogger connections. It was dark and I was in a hurry so I didn't get to really examine them.

Yes (sorta), there's a small defroster grid under the ACC module. That's what the wires are for.

Huh, I thought it looked sorta like that. I guess they have a specific defroster for the ACC since it is blocked from being defrosted by the air?

Either way, I'm curious if anyone else's wires are exposed like that...I'm going to try and adjust them to drop straight down instead of hanging out like that when I get the chance.

I checked it out yesterday afternoon -- and yes, I have those wires positioned like that. They're not visible from the normal cockpit seat position, but if I get right up close to the windshield and look up, I can see them. My guess is that the ACC sensors/cameras? need a clear view of the road ahead, and need their own separate defogger/defroster element.

Have ACC, no issues with visibility. I don't even notice it anymore, except when the back flap rattles a bit.

Took Jeep works a few years to no longer notice those two extra doors in the rear. Jeep world don’t appreciate change at the time of change. :)

Has anyone explored whether you can retrofit the adaptive cruise control module onto a 2018?

As promised this is the cover that goes on the ACC when the windshield is down.
Can anyone else with ACC report that you received this lunch box when you picked up your Wrangler? Or do we not get it. Thanks.

I got it. The salesman didn’t know what it was but thanks to this forum I was able to tell him. I doubt I ever use it as I can’t see putting the windshield down but at least I have it.

Side note but related to this thread. After several chances to use it, I love the ACC. It works really smoothly and well. Whether it’s worth the cost or not is a personal decision but the system works and works well.

For what it's worth to anyone else, I completely agree with you. Really nice system.
