Has anyone replaced their carpeting with an alternate material? I'm looking to start with at least the rear cargo area to make it easier to cleanup after the dogs. I've researched BedTred and it looks great but isn't available for the JL models yet.

I was looking at BedTred as well. Checked with the company last week and still no ETA. Fingers crossed that they have options available by second half of this year.

I recall a thread last spring where a guy did bedliner everywhere the carpet had been. Looked really good and made the interior easy to hose out.

Was that a spray-in bed liner?

Anyone ripped out the carpet yet? Thinking of just rinsing out with the drainplug out to clean out.

I use to rip out the carpeting in my old Wranglers and rhino line the inside. It always turned out great. Prep is the key. It was a full weekend job. However, now with all the technology, I would be concerned wires running everywhere under the carpet. That wasn't a problem with a CJ, YJ and TJ.

I’ve had my carpet out for months now but I did it because of dog hair. I do find that you can hear the road more so I plan on getting the bedtred product when it is out.

Other than noise canceling carpet in any vehicle is useless. Not like you are going to walk on it barefoot or lay down and watch tv.

Most of us cover up with rubber mats.

So, are there a lot of wires under there?

Try 'floor carpet removal + interior rhino spray lining'

do not know how to link thread.
