I've used a few offset calculators and have seen several pics but I am still having trouble visualizing just how far the wheels and tires truly stick out past the fender well. Does anyone have a pic with a tape measure showing the actual distance or can snap one right quick. I'd greatly appreciate it.

I don't have any pics down the side handy but I can tell you they stick out about an inch further than the stock wheels....

I know it's a crummy angle but maybe it'll help...

Thanks.

After a bit of back and forth I came across a couple of wheels I really liked that came in both +12 and -12 configurations (Fuel Beasts were one of them). Ultimately I opted to go with the positive offset.

The tire width will play a big role in your answer.

I’m using my stock tires for now. I may move to a slightly wider tire in the future if these are too narrow.

44mm stock - -12mm new wheel = 56mm out further. This is relative to the center of the wheels.

Now add:
(New tire width - old tire width)/2 + 56mm = how much farther out than what you have now.

All else being equal they are going to stick out 2.2" farther than stock.

JLU Sahara. Tires are BFG KO2 315/70r17. Wheels are Black Rhino Warlord 17x9 with -12 offset.

Here's mine. Helo HE879. I went with a +18 offset and have a 285 tire. To me a negative offset sticks out too far.
I knew I had seen pics of a +18 offset around here. I went with +12.

I looked at the gunmetal Warlords prior to picking mine. They are a sweet wheel.

I need a little help understanding:
I get that a -12 offset will push the wheel out further past the fender. Why would you want to get a positive offset rim? Why not just leave it stock? Is it because you went with a wider tire?

My wife is looking to go with a wider tire for the purpose of it sticking out more. I am getting the impression that a 285 tire on a stock Rubi rim will come past the fender a little bit. Any pics around with that scenario?

Also she would like to go 35" on the stock Rubi rim. What is the widest tire at both 33" and 35" that can go on the stock rim? Thanks in advance for your help.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
People go with a positive offset so you can run wider tires while still keeping most of the tire within the fender wells.

There are many that run 12.5s (33s and 35s) on stock wheels but may need small spacers to clear the front frame edge under full wheel lock.

I’ve been looking at the fuel beasts and they only come in -12 and +1. I’d love a +12 but as far as I can tell they don’t have them. What did you find?
