Ordered today, and was curious if the AST optional upgrade are in fact the Hard Rock type bumpers with the removable end caps?

Seeing that everyone else that ordered a Rubi got that option I figured it was the way to go, and the standard option sheet the dealer handed me says the stock non-option bumper is "Injection Molded" (MBA and MBC codes) which I assume is the basic plastic bumper?

Can the steel bumpers be ordered on a Wrangler JLU Sport S model?

You can purchase them from Mopar or wait for a Rubi owner to pull then and post them for sale.

How does the MOPAR bumper hoop bolt to the steel bumper? Does it bolt down through the area where the winch cover fascia sits?

Yes, bolts from the top, similar to the end caps.

Anyone have a picture of the steel bumper with the ends off as well as the back of the fog light housing?

Anyone have any info on potential impact to safety group if we plan to swap out the rear bumper? I'm not sure if there are proximity sensors or not in the bumper like a normal car.

So if I get LEDā€™s Iā€™m forced to get safety package right? Well then I might as well get steel bumpers since I can live with the front and I donā€™t have to mess w sensors

No. You can order LEDs without safety package.

No, but the Safety Group comes with rear LEDs.

Personally, both of these should be standard on the 2018 vehicle and could not imagine going without both of them.

Disagree for multiple reasons, a lot of us do not want the safety group in an off road vehicle. It's just another option that costs money and is something a lot of us do not care about. It's something else to potentially break, it might go nuts when an aftermarket bumper is applied, or it might cause a problem when offroading in 4-hi (it's disabled by default in 4-lo)
