Two ACL surgeries (one on each leg) and she still jumps in, even after the 35s.
Have to keep a crate in there, she loves the going for the ride, but she can't settle down once underway.
Much safer for all of us.

Thanks, that is another option, but she is so strong when she gets nervous abut the ride.

We had a metal gate up that blocked her from the back seat, it locked in to the rear headrest bars, she ripped it out with her teeth.

The funny thing is, she can easily break out of this crate, but she feels safe in there and mellows out until we get where we are going.

Serious question - anyone have their dog jump out when the top is down/off?

I haven’t taken my boy out in the Jeep, yet, because he’s the kind of dope that would definitely do that at a stop. I’m gonna get one of those harnesses, maybe. Also, right now my Jeep is the only possession I have that isn’t covered in dog hair.

I had a golden that would jump out of the back of pickups. Also had a basset that would try to jump out of my tj. Not sure I can trust my current golden without a harness and a rope strung across the roll bars.

"But daddy, how do you know God exists?"

"Son, you're familiar with horses, dogs and Wranglers, right?"

I have 2 Golden’s, Amen, I completely understand. Dog hair is a way of life. I wouldn’t change a thing.

When my cavalier King Charles was a pup, 12 years ago, he used to lay with my when I was working under the Jeep. Seems like he spent a year under there with me.

My chocolate lab enjoys this one now.

Tumbleweeds... We’re having people over, tomorrow, and I’ve vacuumed 3 times since yesterday morning. I’m gonna have to do it, again, right before they arrive.

I’m with you! I tell people when they come over, if they don’t mind dog hair just don’t come in. I guess that’s why I love my dogs more than most people I know.

Expensive puppy! I got a foxhound/whippet mix that just tore his second ACL this past weekend.

10K in surgeries, stung a little bit, but she is well worth it.
We actually just adopted a 15 year old (yes 15 years) dog from the SPCA, his owner passed away and my wife felt he should live out his life with us. You are not eeing double, same dog as my other little one.
Surprisingly my Shepherd is so cool with him, even lets him sleep on her bed, considering she is an Alpha that was not expected.
