Another question: from looking at the pics it seems that the tire carrier tilts the spare tire a bit, what does that do to the image displayed from the OEM camera?

Bumpers look fantastic. Love the recessed license plate, integrated hitch, and mounting for the hitch wiring. I've been waiting for this bumper.

Is there any chance you'll offer an option to NOT have the holes drilled for the sensors? I don't really want to put plugs in if that will be an option.

Your skid plates and front & rear bumpers will definitely be on my 2019 when it arrives.
Thanks
Sorry, we want all our bumpers to come off the line the same with holes. Thank you!

The strongest and most premium Patriot Series rear bumper with tire carrier we've ever built is just about ready! You'll see it on the website very soon.

RH-90301 - Steel Rear with Tire Carrier $1,399.95
RH-90300 - Steer Rear, non Tire Carrier $799.95
RH-90340 - Aluminum Rear, non Tire Carrier $899.95

We believe Jeep armor upgrades can be both extreme duty and retain factory features. We aren't first to market with a JL rear bumper and tire carrier, but this couldn't be rushed. Our Patriot Series JL rear bumper with tire carrier hosts all our standard features, plus retains all the factory options available for the current Wrangler.

What took us so long? We wanted this bumper to be 1/4" thick like all our other rear bumpers. Problem was the optional sensors for the JL rear. There was not a grommet on the market for that size sensor to fit in 1/4" thick material. So - we made it!

Optional Upgrades:
- Tank Mounts (same ones currently available from Rock Hard 4x4)
- Cargo Basket (same one currently available from Rock Hard 4x4)

Features:
- 1/4" thick plate steel (steel tire carrier version)
- Adjustable tire mount
- Reverse camera compatible
- Sensor compatible
- License plate/light compatible
- 3rd brake light compatible
- Jack-mount included
- Antenna mount included
- 1" thick recovery tabs included
- Tow electrical harness compatible
- Powder coat
- Bolt-on
- 100% Made in the USA

Options Coming Soon:
- Muffler Skid Plate

Does this swing with tail gate or separately?

The tire mount is tilted to allow for clearance of the Hi-Lift jack install under the tire. Camera isn't affected.

Tire carrier weight is carried by bumper and frame, how it should be. That's why we are rated to a 40" tire plus can offer tank mounts and cargo basket.

My question is whether the tire carrier swings out separate from the rear tail gate? The are other systems on older models that are supported by the bumper but open with the tail gate as one unit.

Tire carrier opens separate from tail gate. We don't want any mechanical or fixed junction between the tailgate and frame of the Jeep. It defeats the purpose of body mounts and will lead to body damage. We looked at doing that back in 2007 and with as much body roll as the JK sees, we decided to stick with our proven 2-stage latch. The JL flexes even more over it's frame.

I have your front bumper on my JL and had one on my JK. I have two issues with the rear bumper. The first is, I donā€™t like plugs in my bumpers where the sensors would go. I ordered my JL without sensors because I donā€™t care for the appearance. The secon is the trailer hitch. It appears you have to remove the OEM hitch. I would like to retain it. I didnā€™t use your rear bumper on my JK for same reason. It looks great if those two items were resolved.

Our hitch ratings match the factory plus raise it so you don't hit it off road. Raising the hitch height is a major upgrade over factory. No more tail dragging.

Ok. I can live with that. Just get rid of the sensor holes and I am in.

Anyone have the rear bumper with tire carrier yet? How well are the backup sensors working with larger than stock tires?
