Pretty basic mathInteresting...similar to my breakdown.
On a side note I can probably spin out an Excel doc you guys can use to calculate options. That's all I did with the ones attached.

You think like me. I'd rather save $ and get a Sport S. Use those savings towards a Waverunner. I'm in FL too and off-roading aint my thing but riding on the water sure is.I'm leaning towards getting a 2dr Sport (maybe even the base model). I'm thinking with that 4-5k savings I could buy a pretty nice Mini Camping Trailer, or a used Waverunner. Although, my logical side says I really should put the cash into my 401k.
As much as I'd love a Rubicon, Living in Florida I doubt I'll ever have the opportunity to go rock crawling, and the extra capability would just be wasted.
Of course, once I've had a chance to test drive both a Sport and Rubicon, all this logic nonsense could go totally out the window.

HaHaHa. Yep, gotta love auto-correct.I can see how a witch could come in handy though. Was she expensive?
Gotta love autocorrect.
If money was no issue at all I'd get a loaded Rubi but money is an issue and the Rubis got more than I need so there's that.Funny thing...everyone loves the Rubicon, yet the Sport and Sport S is where the sales always end up.

Apologies if this has already been referenced in the thread, but Jonathan Hanson does an excellent job comparing the two for off-road use at the end of this article:

Imagine this will likely be a continued trend...
Yeah, surprised me too.Interesting the 2 dr Sport sells 9 times as many as the Rubicon.
Which makes one wonder why on the 2dr, the LED headlights are only available on the Rubi. Seems they may sell a lot more of them by making them an available option on the Sport and Sport SInteresting the 2 dr Sport sells 9 times as many as the Rubicon.
They want to steer buyers towards a higher trim level. I'm fine with aftermarket lights, especially if they'll save me a few bucks.Which makes one wonder why on the 2dr, the LED headlights are only available on the Rubi. By the posts on this forum you'd think the Rubi was in everyone's driveway. As of late I've been keeping eyes on Jeeps on the road. I'm finding most of them to be a close tie between Sports and Saharas.
Even though Jeep seems to be marketing to the six digit household incomes, folks like myself that don't have those incomes are opting for the Sport models.
