I can't help to think those lids are gonna splode off !!!
Yes. One does have to ensure not to apply too much heat. You want that weight on the top to just rattle a bit, not try to fly off.

This is what I tell my clients when they are on a budget with there kitchen renovation , If they need to cut cost do it on appliances rather than Cabinetry or counter tops or flooring ...you will replace appliances before anything else

and select standard size appliances or design the kitchen so that the items you take away from the project can fit down the road
Yep, that's my thinking in general. However, we are not long term for this house and I think the swanky appliances would help make the sale in 5 yrs or so, and I'd really like to use that kind of equip in the mean time! Our selections total 13-14K, and I think we could get away with 3-5K instead. Our bids are all 10-20K o wr our initial budget ( a freakin year ago!), so appliance down grade to reasonable prolly does it. We'll be gettin back into it in Jan

Getting back to the problem with my setup. Note that the most used burners are way out in front of the microwave hood.

It's the CFM size Mike which is just not strong enough to draw the steam or smoke to the vent

And - Your running Gas so there minimum CFM requirement for those

down here I think Min. is 600 CFM

BUT ! If your range does not have downdraft vents in the there is no requirement ....might just have low cfm is all

we don't mark up appliances because they are all internet friendly and If our client wants to purchase there own they can as long as they are aware that they hold any warranties and have that vendor take care of the installation

I think this is hilarious !!!
drive by cupcaking
Uhhhhhh, I'd NEVER abuse cake - cup or any other - in such a manner. Cake is meant to be eaten. That is all. ;)

I immediately put them on the spousal xmas list. Alas - $200, and the red are sold out :crying:
33.00 each doesn't sound bad really

I need to read some reviews first
