Yes, curious as to comments after 8 months. Also, fits the rear spare I'm assuming with only the 3rd brake light being raised? And was anything done to the speedometer? Since there are fewer rotations I would have expected the speedo to be off by about 7%Are you happy with the change of tires? Im doing the same to my JLUR today.
Are the tires rubbing anywhere without the lift?
Curious about this tooYes, curious as to comments after 8 months. Also, fits the rear spare I'm assuming with only the 3rd brake light being raised? And was anything done to the speedometer? Since there are fewer rotations I would have expected the speedo to be off by about 7%
I did put on 35's about 3 weeks ago and the Speedo is indeed off by 3.5mph at 65mph. In kms (Canadian) that's just over 6kph at 120... enough to put me in the ticket zone. I've picked up a Rough Country speedo re-calibration unit which will also regear. Most on this site would laugh at that for such a small upgrade, however I do notice the engine getting stuck in 7th at highway speeds. note: there's a way in the Settings to display your gear next to the D.Curious about this too
I secondly will ask, do they rub anywhere? Full turn? I just got my white 2019 JLU Rubicon a week ago and have been wondering about this. Let me know soon if you can. Thanks!I bought new tires today and had them put on my factory wheels. Tires are 315/70/17 BFG AT KO2’s. They seem to fit the 7.5” wheel fine. It’s not much of a difference but it looks better than the 33’s. It’s raining here so I was only able to get a few pics in the garage.
It is fine. The 315 KO2 only weighs about 64lbs, so with the stock wheel, it doesn't add much. Mine sits slightly on the bumper lip, too, so that takes a little of the load off the tailgate. These tailgate hinges are SO much beefier than the JK. I've got the 285 tire on the JK and it holds it just fine. I've got no worries at all about the tailgate. So, what about the spare? I am new to the Jeep world and glad I am in it! I have a Rubicon with steel bumper group but not the tailgate reinforcement. Will this tire mount up fine as a spare with just raising the 3rd brake light, or Do I need the oversize spare relocator and tailgate reinforcement? Thanks for any input and help!
No rubbingI secondly will ask, do they rub anywhere? Full turn? I just got my white 2019 JLU Rubicon a week ago and have been wondering about this. Let me know soon if you can. Thanks!
No rubbing
No rubbing, nor on the spare.I secondly will ask, do they rub anywhere? Full turn? I just got my white 2019 JLU Rubicon a week ago and have been wondering about this. Let me know soon if you can. Thanks!
I posted this in another thread and thought it may be helpful for sport owners. Added a tazer lite and 315/70/17 ko2's on a sport with rubi takeoff suspension/wheels. Front tires definitely rub on front control arms when you get close to full lock turning. The 3.45 gearing struggles and the spare wont fit on back without a relocation kit. Speedometer was off 6mph driving 70mph.I have a lifted sport with Rubicon wheels and 315's. Mine rub at full turn on the lower control arms. I guess your slightly wider axles keep you from rubbing, but it's a no go on a sport.
Get ready for the haters and the "Should have bought a Rubicon" posts.Adding RK 2.5" Adventure stage 1 lift with shocks on Sat along with takeoff jlur d44 axles with brakes, aux switches, locker, harnesses, drag link, tie rod. Hope the 1.5" wider rubi axles help with the rub. Dont want spacers or havingto buy new wheels. I'm still waiting on Roam frame mount steps to arrive.
No need to settle down, I'm contemplating a D44 takeoff for my sport when the "need" arises also. I'm quite capable of doing all the work myself so the "should have bought a Rubicon" doesn't work for me either. He already went through the should I trade in another thread. He kept his with all the work he had already done and that's the end of it. Settle down.
