A landscape company is doing some modifications behind the green belt in front of my house. They were stuck in a four wheel drive truck circa 1990 until a Bobcat gave them a boost. There is some real world application to the JT. It won't be used by the landscape folks, you rarely see anything new in a real-world work truck.

In Texas, where many folks drive Jeeps and Trucks because they are tough looking, and never really use the utility factor of each vehicle, I suspect we will see decent sales if the JT comes in around $55 ... I don't think it will. Since FORD killed the Ranger, folks are chomping at the bit for something other than a Tacoma. Bad timing on Jeep, the Ranger is coming back.

For trails, it will work great, there is usually a line that can be taken for a longer wheel base or stock vehicle. I'm surprised by the folks that order Lifts and Tires before they even try The Jeep off road. It's a never ending treadmill, you get bigger tire and lift and gearing that allow to take a different line and push your abilities more, only to find another trail that will require you to up your capabilities even more.

I read 100's of post's about the pro's n con's of the new JL ...many wanted an SUV feel which doesn't make it a Jeep brand

I'm already reading post's on the JLT ....and many are comparing it to a truck which doesn't make it a Jeep brand

Its perfect for camping or towing a boat with your gear in the back or soccer mom's with gear in the back or beach campfires with coolers and chairs in the back or trades like mine who carry measuring tools , cameras , collapsible ladders in the back

certain things it won't be able to do that a JL can and certain things it can do that a JL can't . I Wouldn't even class this in the truck family actually ...If I wanna haul lumber I'm using a Pick up truck

I'm starting to like these JLT's !!!

That guy is waaaay more focused on Jeeps than I would be...

Then again, all that video equipment prolly doesn’t gather dust during the week. (If ya know what I mean...)
