No lift, 35" Toyo AT2...

just picked up a mojito rubicon on Friday. Went to my aftermarket guy and looking at 35's with hostile 22" rims also, with 10" thickness. What size are your hostile rims? any rubbing issues, and do you feel you needed or not, the lift? they want to do a 1 1/2 " lift. my rubicon is just an extra car, and will never see sand/mud/woods.

I have 22x12, -44 offset. I didn't have any issues with no lift. With the 13.50 AT2, they stuck out too far for my liking. I had plans to lift it anyway. It now has 37x12.50-22 RTs on it, which I love the stance much better. Your 10" wheel with a 12.50 tire would sit just right.

was an ‘18 Rubicon Mojito! now a boring Mazda
I have a question..and if it's dumb forgive me I'm a newb. The jeep comes with 17" rims. Why would someone change to 20?
I understand that you have less sidewall with a bigger rim. Is this because it's better for road conditions? I am not going to do any wheeling, only driving on flat sand beach on occasion.
would a larger rim have any consequences to the driving/gears? I have the 6 spd.

The size of the wheels (rims) doesn't effect the gearing, only the overall size of the tire does.

A larger wheel in comparison to tire is for looks as well as some on-road performance. The smaller tire sidewall gives less flex, so on-road performance is a little better but might be a little more harsh, depending on how much difference you make. Many people choose them for the look, not the performance. Wheels can be heavier than tires (but not always), which might effect your mileage and off-line acceleration.

A smaller wheel in comparison to tire gives more room for sidewall flex, which is better on really rough trails where you want to air down and allow the tire to give way to "grab" obstacles. Many people also prefer this look.

From the sounds of it, you would be fine with a larger wheel if you like the look. You will want to air down for sand, but don't need nearly as much sidewall flex as rock crawling would. If you're mostly on road or on packed beach sand, either would work for you.

35x12.5x17 Ridge Grapplers and no lift. Ride is smooth at 30 psi and no issues with rubbing.

I think so, but at $79 for the RC and all the $$$$ for the Mopar. I decided to save a little money for the family for Christmas. I also went with the 3rd brake light relocation kit.

Did the spare tire fit without modification?
It would have. I installed the tailgate reinforcement ahead of time since the gear wheels with nitto's is at the upper weight limit they claim without reinforcement. Another user on here is running the same wheels/tires without the reinforcement, no issue.

Hi everyone

I love those fuel Beast Wheels. I have a 2019 JLUR on order and would love to NOT do a lift. I like the "stocky" look on a Rubicon with no lift. Almost every dealer and aftermarket place is telling me with the JL you do NOT need a lift. I was considering either the 20 x 12 -44 offset Fuel Beast or the 20 x 10 -18 offset. Have you had a chance to do a lock to lock turn and fully flex your truck? I'm assuming you know about jeeps looking at the other one -:)
It look amazing.

Thanks for your time.
