Aftermarket JL parts / accessories coming soon......NOT!

Hey, anyone out there have any credible intel on when more JL accessories are coming out, “coming soon” is not cutting it anymore, someone somewhere’s gotta know more. I’m sure I’m not the only one sick of hearing “ soon”.

Surely with SEMA just wrapping up "soon" will actually be soon for most vendors. That being said, manufacturing new products is not a turn-key operation, especially with a new platform. It does suck having to wait for more options but it's not like the vendors want to delay.

Understood, still wish they could say gonna be at least six months or next year, anything but being led by a carrot.

Design, tooling, Suppliers, patents, QA, Forecasts of demand, CBAs, internal approvals...new products take time. As a company, they'd rather just keep saying "soon" than to say it will be May, run into an issue with the supply chain and then not be able to deliver until August. That said, I'm ready for some more half door options!!!!!

Pre-Ordered window vent/rain guards in Sept from justforjeeps, then said oct/Nov until ship still waiting...I hear you on the annoyance. Still waiting for light guards. Mopar I'm sure knew about the new body style way before we did, I to am kinda frustrated with the limited accessories...I mean we are talking about a Wrangler.

Agreed. I suspect some do mislead a bit to keep people from buying competing products even though they know they are very far off from being able to deliver. Then there are those who just can't keep up with demand. Case in point, I was looking at several Mopar parts online and almost everything I was interested in was backordered.

I ordered some side bars in September, and they said 2 weeks. Then they said end of October. Then December. Now they are saying January 31st. I cancelled, but nothing else I want is available yet either!

Still waiting to see what comes out as far as bumpers. Nothing has really caught my eye yet.

Also can wait to see what kind of stuff they come out with for the turbo

I feel your pain, I don’t understand why you can get fox shocks for the jl but not the reservoir shocks yet, I know that’s Fox’s deal and not Mopar but , I still think that wouldn’t be that big of a leap. I no, I no, I no......coming soon, got it.

I feel you! Being a Fox dealer, they are telling us the same thing about "coming soon". As a retailer, I promise to release that information as soon as I hear it. If you ever want to hear the real low-down without filters and BS, you can always PM me.

Looks at the bright side, at least you have a 4 door. Not only did the 2dr get released like what 6 months after the 4 door, it is also only a fraction of 4 dr sales. Yes a lot of things will interchange, but many things do not.

I’ve been following up with several manufacturers after SEMA and it’s looking like a lot of the SEMA prototype products are being released first quarter 19’. I know there are several longarm kits hitting the market early Jan through mid Feb. This is straight from the horses mouths of 3 different companies. I’ve also heard rumor of some new dana products in the works to hit soon. I’m wondering if some of the manufacturers are waiting to see what will cross between the JL and JT before releasing. It’s hard to wait for new products because you just don’t know how long it’s really going to be.

I am fine with soon so long as I am not given an actual time and the deadline is blown past at least without explanation. That said, give me some more of those sweet aftermarket options unveiled at SEMA. Christmas is on the way and I am sure there have been a lot of good Jeepers out there!
