It has been confirmed I have a rear main seal leak! Unreal!

Hey folks,

Just received word today from the dealership , my JLUR with 8k miles has a rear main seal leak!
I’m wondering if I’m the first or are there others who this has happen to as well?
The dealership said they may get the parts in a week or two, no one seems to have the parts.
The dealership said they are going to release the Jeep back to me until they get the parts, it is a dam good thing this is not my daily driver. Can you imagine the amount of oil that would have leaked all over the undercarriage of the Jeep if I was driving this everyday for two weeks?
Look at the photo of the puddle of oil, I cleaned that up and drove the Jeep back into the garage, came out the next morning to find another puddle under it.

Their storage is outside lot, I think it would be better for me to just pick it up and bring it back. It’s not my daily driver and we have other vehicles for me to drive.
I’m thinking I’m the first one with this problem, yeah, nothing like being first! Lol

I don't know if I would believe that. Dec 14th? For a rear main seal that is probably available at their parts counter? Here is a link to another before yours.

Yeah, the parts department said December 14th the soonest.
They don’t have a lot of parts for the JL in stock yet.
I picked it up today, they said I can drive it because it’s not a big leak. Yeah, at least not yet!

Isn’t this the same 3.6L that’s in other FCA vehicles since 2016? No parts seems odd unless it’s truly unique to the JL.

What is your JL's MFG date? And what is the MFG date of the one that is leaking in the other thread?

I think it is, it could be the transmission being different
I’m not sure
