Only 3 Grand Cherokee’s so far. Last one was a 2017 GC Trailhawk. Over the years I have also owned quite a few Bronco’s (1st gen, and multiple full size) as well as a scout and a few older blazers. I look forward to comparing them all to my JLUR soon.

within the last two months, sold my 1999 tj, 1999 cherokee xj and my 2004 grand cherokee limited rocky mountain.

Technically, the JL would be my second Jeep, first being a 1994 YJ. However, I had an older brother that did not have the for sight to get something that handled well in the snow for his first vehicle. It went from needing a little TLC that could have been completed before I could drive to "Holy crap! It is shooting flames out of the bottom of it!"

Scouts are so cool. So will you consider the Bronco when it comes out or are you sold on Jeep now?

I will hopefully have my 2019 in the next few weeks, but if the Bronco comes out and looks like it will meet my needs, or I just don’t like the Rubicon I will probably pick up a Bronco. I have been following that for years, and originally planned on waiting for it. However, after my 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk I decided a wrangler is worth giving a shot. We loved the Trailhawk, did great as a DD and for long trips, but did fall short off-road in places like MOAB. I think The Bronco will be nice, I actually prefer Ford most of the time to FCA, but I think the Bronco will be more similar to the Grand Cherokee than it is to the Wrangler. Due to that, I decided to try for the wrangler first.

It really would be cool if the Bronco was closer to the Wrangler than GC, but I think you are right.

i am curious as to how many experienced Wrangler owners there are out there versus those new to the model. Feel free to offer any other perspective on vehicles you have/had, especially if they were off road vehicles such as 4Runner, trucks, etc.

I’ll start. Before this I owned three JKU’s, one Sport, and two Rubi’s. All modified and all taken off road. I have had six total Jeeps and an 01’ 4Runner. My first rig was a ‘73 Jeep Commando with lift and 33’s, then a ‘79 Cherokee Chief. Both great big fun gas guzzlers, so I went economy for a while, some sport sedans, and although I have a few other options of keys to grab, glad to be in the JLUR.

What has your experience been?

What a list and a history with all those great rigs. Any favorites all of those, if you could go back in time?
